Chapter 28: I want to cry.

Luke's pov

It has been 2 months since I have given birth to our beautiful son. I have just started to take the birth control tables that Dr Sky gave me. While on bed rest I didn't have many visitors, because I wanted to spend time with our son and Jason before the madness started. Max was visited everyday with Smithy they both sat and talked to me about gossip and college stuff, Max also talked to Jason about pack business. Joy came round most days to check on all of us also picked up some mint chocolate ice cream for me, I still have craving for it but not as bad as before. They also got to hold Jake, I was very protective on who gets to hold him, but Max was family and Jake's uncle, so I let him and Smithy. Also, every three days I would video called my godfather to talk say hi, let him see Jake, talk about college and any fears that I had. It was great chatting with him, and Jason and I agreed to go to the UK soon.

After Sue and Jason allowed me to get out of bed and walk, I took things slow because I was still in pain. After a few days of getting use to walking with a small amount of pain. I still had injections to take away most of the pain, but it was a lesser does because I was getting very sleepy, I was told that the pain should slowly die down and be gone in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Even though Jason introduced our son to the pack. It was time for both of us to officially do it. I as Luna or Second Alpha decide to have a party of sorts and I was glad I did, granted it was a pain to set up because I was limited in what I could do and what Jason/Joy/Max/Smithy and Sue would allow me to do. This did make me feel guilty, because I didn't what the pack to think less of me. With my emotions still all over the place I talked/cried to Jason about it. He calmed me down mostly and said "the pack understands that you can't do much, they also know that if you could do more you would. You are amazing second alpha pup and an amazing father to our son".

A next day we had the official meeting of the pack meeting their future alpha. Jason in his alpha voice introduced our son with his full name to the pack. The pack then bowed and in one voice through the mind link said, "Welcome to the pack Jake Samual Lake our future alpha". It was loud in my head but with then saying that which I knew the pack would, still brought a few tears to my eyes. I then said, "I thank you for welcoming our son and your future alpha, and I know that you will all protect him and help in teaching him what you can to help him be a good alpha, thank you for asking after me and helping me with tonight's party. Now let's party!" everyone cheered and head out into the central area just outside the packhouse where all the tables were set up. Jason allowed me to come to that party as long as I sat down, he was still worried about me which I loved. Joy helped me down the stair and out to the party, Jason hand Jake to me and I felt great having him back in my arms. Different pack members came to me talked with me hand present/gifts for Jake. I felt that love they had for Jake and also for me. That is went it hit me for that first real time that they do love me. Jason sensing that I was getting overwhelmed guided me, while I was still holding Jake to our house and up to our room. It seemed like it took a couple of seconds instead of 5 minutes. Jason put Jake in his crib and Jake went to sleep, I looked at Jason and said, "that love that I felt from everyone hit me and for the first real time I felt that same love not just for Jake but for me too." Jason then hugged me and said, "of course they do". I the replied "I could cry because I am so happy". I then lay down next to Jason and put my head on his chest and cuddling into him. I closed my eyes happy and let sleep take me into my dreams.
