Chapter 31: The Betrayal and Happiness

(A/N this will be a long chapter)

Luke's pov

It has been 2 weeks since my mini breakdown and things have been going better. Jason got me a new phone because I through my old one at the wall. Plus, he has been spending a lot less time in the playhouse and more time with me and Jake. The nanny we got agreed to spend three-days-a-week instead of two days which helped massively. I also had to learn to ask for help, instead of bottling it all up inside. I thanked Max for everything he did that night and all he said, was "anytime Speedy" and gave me is stupid grin.

Me and Max was spending time together talking about the pack and an upcoming event. Jake was asleep in his room having a nap. When Beth come in and said, "alpha Luke, Beta Tom asked can he see you in the packhouse please it is important". Even though I was able to mind link with Jason, I could mind link with half of the pack that is why people came to see me, also Jason and I agreed for now it would help if I only mind link with him in emergencies. I looked at Max in a questioning look because Beth did not like me, and this is the most that she spoke to me since the Moon Festival, back when it was revealed that I was Jason's mate. I then looked back at her and said, "sure I will leave in a few minutes". Beth then nodded and left. I asked Max to keep an eye on Jake and got my phone, put my trainers on and left for that packhouse. When I got there, I asked Tom what did he need me for? He looked confused and said, "I didn't ask for you". I told him the Beth came to me and said that you wanted me for something important. Just has he was about to say something my phone rand and it was Max. He told me that Beth lied, and she tried to grab Jake, but he got to him first, but she is forcing them to leave pack lands, we are in the direction of the old playhouse. I knew that he was in pain and out of breath by the sound of his voice. Panicked I asked is Jake and him ok and how he got away to call. He said, I hit her in the head and ran but she will catch up soon Jake is ok but his shoulder hurts like hell..." the line went dead. I told Tom and he sent warriors out to find them. I told him I am going to before he could say anything I was off at my top speed; I mind link with Jason he was out on patrol. "Jason Beth has taken Max and Jake and is forcing the of the pack lands they are by the old playhouse, I am on my way their now don't try and tell me don't go", I said. Jason responded with "on my way now will be 7 minutes though, take care Luke" I knew he was not happy about me going but let it go. I speed round trees dodging them getting to the old playhouse as fast as possible. I got their and could not see them but heard Jake crying in the distance I ran towards the sound.

In the distance I seen Max head of Beth, with Max carrying my son. Without thinking I put everything I had into my speed and ran at Beth. It took me seconds to get to Beth I jumped and landed a punch right to her face, she stumbled sidewards and dropped to her knee. While she was dazed, I told Max to "run with Jake to the packhouse on the way warriors/fighters were coming and so was Jason." I needed to stay back and take care of Beth. I knew that I basically had very little change with Beth because she was a werewolf, but I had to buy time for Max to get away with my son and for Jason for come here.

I got ready for the fight that I was about to be and if I am honest wanted, I wanted to hurt Beth for taking my son and hurting my brother. I knew my changes as slim in a fight, but I did have some fight training, but I would be relaying on my speed to dodge her attacks. Beth rose and got to her feet, running her hand over her face where I punched it and said, "ow that actually hurt you bastard" and after wiping her face said, "I am going to enjoy this, I wanted to beat you up since the moon festival, taking my place as Luna, but now that I have found my mate the alpha of the rogue, and now will take this pack as our own." With rage with in me, no way she and her mate will get this pack my pack the pack that I am the Luna/2nd alpha of. "Why did you take my son?" I asked, "we wanted your filthy son to force Jason to give up the pack to be forced to lose to an alpha challenge, then we would take you all. I would force you to watch as I killed your son in front of both for you, then kill Jason while you watch, and as for yourself you are my mates present to me, I will torture you for as long as I draw pleasure from it". I was shocked and disgusted; I balled my hands into fists to get ready to punch. Beth through the first punch I dodged her and through my own punch and connected but it was not very hard. I did my best to dodge or block he strikes and punches, but couldn't she hit me with every third or fourth hit she mainly hit me in my left side ribs. I hit her everywhere I could head, arms, chest, ribs, striking at the legs. When Beth went to punch me, I dodged underneath her, but he caught me with her knee in my ribs on my left side. I felt something shift in my ribs and I dropped to me knee in pain gasping for breath, I knew Jason felt that. I could feel the anger and the worry coming through the mate bond. Beth took a step back and said, "I am surprised that a faggot like you knew who to fight instead of cowering in fear, I am actually glad that we did this, I did not thing I would enjoy this as much as I have. You got a few good hits in, and your speed helped you dodge a lot of my hits, but did you think you could beat me a filthy human faggot like you." I looked at her trying to catch my breath. She started to remove some clothes in order to shift and a plan came into my head, but I needed great timing, but it would hurt a lot with my ribs that way that they are. As she started to shift, I got to my feet and with as much speed as I could get in the small distance between us, I ran at her, and just as her head turned from human to wolf with all my strength that I had kicked her in the head. Beth went flying in the air backwards 3 or 4 feet and was either dead or out cold. I moved backward to lean against a tree my whole body was aching but especially my ribs I moved my right arm over to somehow hold them thinking it would help because of the pain I was in, and I tried to catch my breath. I was just about to mind link Jason when the big voice shouted "NOOOOOOO!" and this big man came running to where Beth was laying. I knew it was Beth's mate, he was big, bigger than Jason and more rough looking. He checked her over before saying "lucky for you she is alive or you would be dead now, also lucky for you she wants you alive, but that doesn't mean I can't beat the living crap out of you and break some bones in that weak body of yours." He said with an evil grin, I knew it was not a good idea, but I said "YEAH weak ah.... I am the one who.... beat that (nodding over to Beth) up" still catching my breath. His eyes darkened and he charged at me. He threw a punch with his right hand I ducked underneath it but then he backslapped me with the same hand right hit the ribs, and he had definitely broken one or two of them. I went flying sideward 10-15 feet and hit my head on a tree I seen black dots but then seen a wolf attacking the rogue alpha before I was out.

Jason's pov

When running to where Luke said Beth was all I could think was 'Jake, Luke, Max, Jake, Luke, kill Beth' repeating in my head though the link Tom came and said "Alpha we found Max he has your son he is fine, Max is hurt though we are will escort him and Jake to the hospital wing, he told us that Luke stayed behind to buy them time to run, also they are about half a mile past the teenage den (old playhouse)" Then I said, "thanks Tom as you said give Jake and Max an escort and send the rest of the fighters that way" I could feel Tom nodded and he said, "will do but they are at least 3 minutes away from you" On my way to Luke I could feel pain in my left side I knew that Luke was getting hurt their I had to get to him. I was at the in sight of the old playhouse. Then I felt a big pain in my side Luke's ribs where hurt, I had to get to him. I just seen him duck a punch by some guy, but then flew sideward and hit his head on the tree and was out. I rushed past Luke and snapped my jaws on the guy's shoulder and tiering into it. I then shifted into my human form and started beat the crap of the guy that I knew was a werewolf. The guy then got up and drawn a knife and was swiping it at me I kept jumping and dodging out of the way. I tripped over a tree root and just as he was about to strike, Suddenly Luke showed up behind him and with a log struck him across the head and knock the werewolf out. Then Luke now with blood running down his face, passed out. I mind linked the Alex our delta that was on his was and said, "Alex, Beth and another werewolf tie them up and take them to the cells. I need to get Luke to the hospital wing immediately." I felt Alex nod and picked Luke up and carried him at speed to the hospital wing.
