Big bros vs. Sleepy Baby bro

Chapter 16

John, Bruce, Clay, and Floyd are all in the kitchen waiting for Branch.

It's dinner time and they feel like it would be rude to eat without Branch, especially since this is his home.

They waited patiently for a few minutes when he finally stumbled in and sat down, laying his head on the table.

Floyd became concerned, "Branch, buddy? You alright?"

He groaned and Floyd bit his lip, "I see..not doing great.." he sighed.

Clay moved closer to Branch as JD held Branch's plate out to Bruce who quickly filled it for him.

JD set his plate in front of him and Clay sat him up.

Bruce and Floyd smiled at his sleepy face.

"Come on, buddy, here.." Clay said as he helped Branch grab his fork.

Branch huffed and layed his head on the table with a small whine, "No..."

Bruce frowned and grabbed the fork, sitting on the other side of Branch, "Branch, look at me.." he said gently as he got some food on the fork.

Branch looked up a bit and Bruce smiled, "Open wide, kiddo.."

JD smiled at Branch, who looked at him, and nodded, "He has 13 kids, bud. You should listen to him."

Branch seemed to think about this for a moment before opening his mouth.

Bruce smiled and fed him, patting him on the head gently, "Good! Now, we're gonna do this until your plate is empty, deal?"

Branch looked up at Clay who smirked, "13 kids, little man. 13."

Branch huffed and opened his mouth again.

Floyd giggled as he watched Bruce feed Branch until their poor Baby brother couldn't keep his head up anymore.

Bruce smirked as Branch's eyes shut and didn't open, "Got him."

JD raised an eyebrow, "You were trying to knock him out that entire time?"

Bruce nodded and picked Branch up, gently patting his back, "Yep, worked like a charm too! My kids normally need more help to fall asleep, though I suppose it worked faster because he was already sleepy.."

Floyd and Clay giggled as JD sighed fondly.

Big brothers win.
