Big bros vs. Sleepy Baby bro

Chapter 33

Branch sighed, staring at his brothers who are cooing over him and trying to put him to sleep.

Bruce sighed, "Come on, bro! Even our normal methods haven't worked! They normally knock you right out."

"Yeah, well, I just don't feel sleepy." Branch said, crossing his arms.

Floyd frowned, "But they always make you sleepy, even when you're not.."

JD nodded, "Yeah, starlight, what's so different about tonight that nothing can put you to sleep, even though it normally can.."

Clay bit his lip and sat next to Branch, "Come on, just tell us what's going on!"

Branch sighed, "You guys call me the baby, but you're all acting like clingy toddlers."

"Which makes us older then a baby." Floyd said, smiling at Branch.

The youngest sighed, "Can't you just leave me alone? I obviously won't sleep, so just stop!"

"No way, bro. We need to get you to sleep, it's your bedtime." Clay said.

JD nodded, "Yeah, we'll get you to sleep eventually!"

"Even if we need to make new methods!" Bruce said.

Branch groaned, which covered up the sound of the elevator.

As the five of them continued to go back and forth, Kismet wandered through the bunker, looking for Branch.

Hype's ears perked up, "Did you guys hear that?"

Boom paused for a moment, then he nodded, "Yeah, I heard it.."

Trickee sighed, "I think Branch is arguing with his brothers."

Ablaze stared at him for a moment, "You think? YOU THINK?! THEY SO OBVIOUSLY ARE!"

Trickee put his hand up placatingly, "Woah, dude! Sorry.."

Ablaze sighed, "You should be."

As Trickee pouted, Boom opened the door that had the most sound.

It was kinda funny to see Branch surrounded by his brothers as they cooed, pet him, sang to him, and cuddled him.

"Oh, um...hi?" Clay asked.

For a moment, both groups stared at eachother, then Kismet started to laugh.

"Holy shit, are you guys trying to put him to sleep?" Hype asked.

JD nodded slowly, "Yeah? It normally works, don't judge us!"

Ablaze shook his head, "No judgement! It's just that, you guys obviously don't know how to handle him on Saturdays."

The four older BroZone brothers took a step back and spoke in unison, "You try it then." They said.

The older four brothers of Kismet stepped forward with wide smirks as they spoke in unison as well, "Oh, we will."

Branch stared at them as they came closer, the older four of BroZone all stepped away and the older four of Kismet surrounded him.

"Alright, Branch! Let's get you to sleep."

Boom smiled, "Don't worry, it'll be good for you, okay?"

Hype sat next to him and hugged him tight.

As they cuddled, Trickee joined on Branch's other side.

As they did that, Ablaze and Boom began to explain.

"It's simple, on Saturday nights you just need to cuddle him in silence for a while." Boom said softly.

Ablaze nodded, "It's simple, but very effective. It only takes about, what, five minutes?"

Boom nodded, pointing behind himself, "Yeah, see? He's already falling asleep."

Clay's jaw dropped, "No way!"

Floyd looked betrayed, "Baby bro..."

JD chuckled softly, watching as Branch's head fell forward slightly then he jerked back up, "Awww..at least we get to see the process of him falling asleep.."

Bruce nodded, "That's true.."

Boom hummed softly and climbed on the bed, squishing himself between Branch and Trickee.

Trickee whined softly, "Hey!" He quietly protested.

Boom stuck his tongue out at him, "Deal with it."

Trickee looked baffled as he looked between Boom and Ablaze.

Ablaze chuckled and moved to the other side of the bed, laying behind Hype.

"Dude, you know they always lay next to Branch. Maybe that's why he's just now falling asleep?"

Trickee grumbled under his breath, "No fair..."

Floyd crossed his arms, "We could've done that and had him asleep sooner then that!"

Clay nodded, "Yeah! We could easily do that!"

"Yeah, adding on that I'm a father of 13? It would of been easy. Think about it, 13 kids." Bruce said proudly.

"Agreed. Plus, we're his big brothers, well, biological big brothers, we've put him to sleep so many times throughout his life. Even as an adult." JD said with a smile.

Big brothers win.
