When we finished and said our goodbyes my thoughts turned toward Sigla. I rush to the tavern and when I enter it is full of people just as it always is at this time. As I look around I don't see Sigla anywhere, but I do see Cranth behind a counter "Hello Mr.Cranth is Sigla not working today"

He turns to me with a neutral look about him and speaks "No not today she went to see that execution and when she came back she asked for tonight off and ran to her room"

"Is it ok if I go see her"

"Only if you knock" I chuckle at the comment "What's so funny "

"Nothing sir thanks" and with that, I go down the hall to her room. As I stood in front of her door I reached out to open it on instinct but right before I gripped the knob I remembered what Cranth said. I knock once Sigla it's me" When I don't hear anything I knock again "Sigla it's me," I say a bit louder. With that I give in and open the door as I look around in her room I remember how simple it looked not too crowded but not too empty. With a quick scan I see movement under the covers of her bed "Sigla are you ok"

"No go away" she sniffles out

"Not going to leave until I know you ok" I say as I sit on the bed next to her

"Please go I don't want you to see me like this"

I reach out and start pulling the sheet from her revealing the obvious she was crying. "I know it was hard to watch but-"

Before I could finish "But what" she said "Even if they were bad did they really need to die"

In her words, I had no answer so I picked the best option I could think of I hugged her causing her to break back into tears again. I sit there holding her till the tears stop "Are you going to be ok now" I try cracking a joke.

Not realizing it was supposed to be funny "I will be thank you"

Wanting to say I was joking a little I stopped myself "Anytime" Letting go of each other I stood up "If you need anything you just need to tell me" She nodded and I left with the experience somewhat souring the day I returned home for the night.

Over the few days, I continue almost as normal with the few exceptions of going and seeing how Lundgren is and when I go to the tavern it feels less fun than it usually is so I turn in early. Each time I go see Lundgren he looks more sickly than before. Until one day he was better he even wanted to work. When I saw him "Are you sure about this don't you need some rest"

"Right now I feel like I could take on the whole world" he lets out with excitement

"OK then see you at the tavern then?"

"Like how it used to be," he says before we parted. When I finished my routine I returned back to the dungeon. "Ready to go then," Lundgren says before I even take off the breastplate.

"Yes just give me a minute"

Once I get done "So now we're things without me?

"Almost the same" he seemed sad at this so I continued "Drinking at the tavern wasn't the same"

"Sounds right" Once we get to the tavern "It's been awhile," he says to Ernval as he's already inside at his seat.

"And now we drink" Ernval happily says

When we sit down Sigla comes over and gives him a slight hug."It's been too long since you were here"

"I know I know"

After a few minutes of chatter, we place our orders and she runs off. As we wait we talk about how the day went for each of us. Once the food arrived Lundgren was the most eager to eat astonishing us. Having finished our food and had enough of a drink we left. "See you tomorrow," He said which felt rather off to me
