"Storm?"

I look up to see a familiar face. "Hey Toothless." I say with a yawn. Toothless was a name given to him by the nest. "Time for another raid?" He nodded. I got up, stretched and spread my wings and took off to get to the front of the group of dragons, A storm cloud already forming above our target. A small village called Berk. Toothless caught up to me.

"You remember our roles?" He asked, I nodded. "Seriously Storm. Last time you said the same thing but went after the humans anyway."

"I know, you know they took my family from me." I said, already charging my lightning blast and aiming it at the catapult in the distance.

As soon as we were in range, I fired, destroying the catapult. Toothless did the same thing with his plasma blast to another catapult close to the one I destroyed.

Suddenly, I heard a roar of pain and turned to see Toothless falling fast, his shape in some sort of net. Then I felt a huge pain in my tail, and something snag onto my body, and I fell, landing painfully on the ground in the forest off of the village.

I tried to look at my tail but hissed in pain when the net-like thing grazed my tail. Then I heard a human voice coming towards me. "Most people lose their mugs or axes. But I had to lose a whole dragon."

Then he came into my sight. He was skinny with a fur vest with a blue tunic under it. He then saw me and panicked, reached for a small dagger.

I snorted. Does he really think that will get through my scales?

"I'm gonna kill you dragon. I'll cut your heart out and take it to my father." He said, "I'm a Viking. I'm a VIKING!"

I looked at him with pleading eyes, then braced myself for the pain. But it never came. I heard a snapping sound from my side. Then I felt all the tension on my body disappear. I jumped up and pined the boy to a nearby tree, ready to kill him. But then I let out an earsplitting roar and tried to fly off but couldn't get my balance and landed in a cove with Toothless coming from the other side.

"Did you hear that?" I asked after we both tried and failed to catch some fish.

"Hear what?"

"It sounded like a stick falling." I looked up to see two human boys. The one that freed me earlier and another that I didn't recognize. "Toothless... look up"

I started to growl a warning then I smelled fish. Cod to be specific. The boy that freed me then offered me the cod, and I saw his dagger. I started to snarl at the weapon that nearly took my life. He then dropped it on the ground.

"Farther." I snarled, and to my amazement he used his free hand to toss it into the lake. I then sat down, and he offered me the fish again. I took it and started to advance on his sniffing for any more fish.

"Uh.. I don't have any more." He said as he was pinned to a rock. I then started to make gagging sounds and through up the head of the fish for him to eat. "Okay, that's gross"

"Eat it, it's for you." I said making an eating motion.

I then saw him fight a gag and he took a bite. "Mmmhmm." He said with a mouth full of fish.

"Swallow." I said to him. He swallowed and shivered. Then did something with his mouth. I then copied him, and he tried to touch my snout. I growled and glided to the other side of the cove. I saw him and the other boy coming towards me, and I used my tailfin to keep me from seeing them and to keep them from touching me. I then hear scribbling in the dirt close to me. I walk over to see what it was and see the boy who saved me drawing me in the dirt. I then walked away on my back legs and grab a branch and start drawing him.

"Get off" I snarl when he steps on the drawing. He lifts his leg and I start purring and he steps on it again. "Stop that."

He then starts making his way around the drawing and eventually makes it to me and bumps into me. He backs up and sticked his hand out and looked away. I press my snout into his palm.

That night he came back with his friend who I learned his name was Hiccup and the boy who I bonded with is named Magnus.

"We're going to get you both up into the air." Magnus said holding what looked like an artificial tailfin that looked like mine. I let him strap it on, as well as a saddle and I could feel Magnus get on the saddle and used the stirrups to check the tailfin.

"How come you get the cool one and I get this piece of junk." Toothless complained.

"They probably ran out of paint." I responded with a smug look on my face. Toothless just continued pouting. "I love it when you pout."

With that I took off, going full speed. I could tell that Magnus was enjoying himself and eventually I fired a small lightning blast.

"Ohh come on." I heard him say me, "Why Stormstryker?"

"Because it's funny." I responded in Norse to both mine and Magnus's surprise.

"Did you just speak Norse?" Magnus said.

"I think I did." I responded, still surprised.

We met up with Hiccup a bit later and Magnus told him what happened.

"There's no way that you did that." Toothless said to me.

"It happened. I don't even know how I did that." I said to him honestly.

"Then prove it." He said to me challengingly.

At the same time Magnus looked down at me and nodded.

"Hi Hiccup. It's nice to meet you officially." I said in Norse.

Both Hiccup and Toothless looked at me in shock and I just smiled at my success.

"How... What... How did you...?" Hiccup said in shock. My smile only widened.

"I don't really know to be honest." I responded my smile fading slowly. "But we're approaching Berk so better wipe those expressions."

We landed into the cove and Hiccup and Magnus took off back to the village.
