Epilogue

Magnus's POV: A week after the events of the Red Death battle

I slowly started to open my eyes, only to see a pair of red eyes with dilated pupils. I yelped and backed up, only to see a very happy Stormstryker.

I let out a relived sigh and heard a groan coming from my left. I looked over to see a way to over exited Toothless on top of a now sitting up Hiccup. I also see him clutching his stomach. I let out a small chuckle, only to groan in a giant pain coming from my back.

Hiccup looked me over and noticed my wings and tail out with scars and burns all over them. He let out a gasp and I followed his gaze to see the same thing.

"Your elder said that they would be healed in a few days." I heard Storm say. I nodded and stood up, onto fall back onto the bed I was on.

"Uncooperative legs. Can't stand." I groaned out.

"At least you have both legs." My younger brother said. (Magnus and Hiccup are twins)

I followed his gaze and saw a prosthetic leg in place of his left leg just below the knee, the same place I bit down to save Hiccup from burning to death. I looked down, ashamed. "I'm so sorry Hiccup." I said apologetically.

He looked at me, confused. "What do you mean Magnus? You didn't do anything."

"I wish that were true." I said sadly, "When I saw you get hit by the Red Death's tail, I panicked and dove after you. I saw you shift to human form and couldn't reach you with my short arms, so I did the first thing I could think of. I bit down on your left leg to pull you in. I must have bit down too hard, damaging it to the point that they had to cut it off. I'm so, so sorry."

"Magnus, you saved my life." Hiccup said, getting over his shock. "It was either my leg or my life. I don't care what anyone says, You're the best brother anyone could ever ask for. Nothing could ever change that. You've done so much for me. You stuck up for me whenever I got bullied, took the blame for every time one of our inventions failed, heck you even jumped in front of a Nadder for me. You saved my life countless times without even knowing it. Magnus, never let anyone or anything change who you are. Now let's see what all has happened while we were out."

I slowly got to my feet and saw Hiccup fall after his first full step. I quickly caught him at the same time as Toothless.

"Thanks guys." My brother said as we supported him to the door, going slower than Hiccup could go because of not using my legs for Thor knows how long.

We opened the door only to slam it shut again because of a flame red Monstrous Nightmare.

"Stay here you two." I told our dragons. They snorted, wanting to see our reaction to whatever is outside, but stayed anyways.

When I opened the door, my jaw hit the ground in shock. What we saw was like a dream to us.

"Come on guys! Hold on tight here we go!" Snotlout said from the back of the Nightmare. All around the village were dragons. Not steeling food or burning houses but living peacefully with the Vikings around the village of Berk.

"We knew it, we're dead." Me and my brother said in shock.

"No but you gave it your best shot." Dad laughed from behind us. "So, what do you think?"

My knees then gave out because of the shock.

"Carful now son." Dad said as he caught me, then said at a whisper, "You might want to lose the wings and tail."

But I didn't hear him because of the shock and heard a villager pointing us out to the rest of Berk. I tried to shift to my human form, but before I could, our family was surrounded by Vikings. But they weren't shocked at all.

What... why aren't they shocked? I questioned in my head. I looked over to dad to see him wearing the same expiration I must have on my face.

I then felt a punch on my shoulder, causing me to almost fall again,

"That's for scaring us." I heard a voice say. I looked over to see Embla, standing right in front of me, along with Astrid in front of Hiccup.

"What... is it always going to be like this because-" My brother said for both me and him, only to be cut off by Astrid's lips meeting his and Embla's to mine.

"We could get used to it." I finished when we separated.

3rd person POV:

This... is Berk. Magnus's voice said as he and his brother mounted their dragons. It snows nine months of the year...

And hails the other three. Hiccup's voice finished.

"Ready?" Hiccup said to his brother and dragon.

"You know it." Magnus responded.

"Of course." Toothless, the Night fury and Stormstryker, the Lightning Fury said together.

The food that grows here is tough, and tasteless. Magnus's voice continued.

But the people that grow here are even more so. Hiccup's said as the other teens joined them in the air. The only upsides are the pets.

You see most places have ponies or parrots. Magnus's voice continued, but we have.
