“This place is beautiful!” Mikro yelled as she skipped down the narrow path. I sighed and smacked my face with my hand. “Mikro can you be quiet for the last time! I'm about to rip out your mouth,” Eclipse snapped. “Well I was always happy my whole life, not like yours!” Mikro stopped and frowned looking at Eclipse. I stopped and stared at Eclipse. My tail flicking behind my cloak. Eclipse stopped walking. Her head low. “What does Mikro mean-?” I gasped. “It's nothing-,” Eclipse whispered. “SCREECH!” a horrible sound comes from the distance. I drop to my knees and cover my ears. More screeches come from the distance, and rustling from the bushes gets louder.
Eclipse grabs mine and Mikro arms and starts running, but the sound still follows us. Eclipse stops to try to use her magic, but the leaves are too thick above us. Ladies with a white cloak and a light but face, with an expression of fear stuck to their face surround us. They screech horribly, and it feels like my ears are exploding. Eclipse looks around for an opening but can not find one, then a small one of the blue-faced ladies moves out of the way for us to escape. I grab Mikro and start running towards the opening, Eclipse follows not far behind us. The small white faced lady grabs my arm and takes us off the path to a run down shack. She looks at us and tries to mouth a word but no one can understand her. The girl grabs a horrifying looking pencil with eyes, she starts writing on the wall.
As the pencil screams and blood is left behind on the wall, it says “What is your name?” I glance wearily at her before one after the other I say my name then Eclipse then Mikro, with a bubbly sounding voice. She starts writing on the wall again, Iris. The bloody words slowly dripped down the wall. We look at each other then we look at the door, “We need to leave soon,” says Eclipse. Iris grabs something from the closet, and then grabs us and runs out the door. Running through the thick forest, I trip on a stick, but I'm still getting dragged by Iris. I can see the end of the forest, where the light can get through. We ran to the end stepping on sticks that fell on the ground. We get to the other side of the forest, me, Mikro, and Eclipse cross the line of the end of the forest. Iris just stands there, she unravels the item she was holding to be a cloak. Iris put the cloak on, and then crossed the line of the start of the forest. She grabs my hand and puts the pencil she was using to write in it, then closes my hand. I quickly stuff it in my bag, and run to catch up with Eclipse and Mikro.
I looked behind me to see where the girl went, but she was gone… “What ya doing!” Mikro pops up out of nowhere, my reflexes make me slap Mikro. “Hey!? What the heck was that!?” Mikro yells. “Sorry, but you can’t keep popping out of nowhere!” I scream back at Mikro. Eclipse looks at both of us. “Stop fighting, we need to get a move on.” I start feeling the sudden hunger again. I glanced at the two in front of me. Sighing I grab onto the fruit. I slowly started to eat it on the way. Once I was done, I put the rather larger seed into my bag. Two left… My eyebrows furrowed as I pulled my attention away from the fruit. “Where are we going?” I ask as no one told me. “The next town where the queen… won't look for us there,” says Eclipse with a tone of sadness in her voice. The ringing happens again, but I'm used to it now that it does not bother me. We walked for about thirty minutes when we finally reached the town. Iris is waiting for us there, the first thing we see there is wanted posters for Mikro, and Eclipse, and I. Pulling the hood of the cloak to cover my face, they do the same.
I hope that people did not see the posters. I glanced around before some down down and shove them in my bag. We walk into the market seeing wonderful things! Wind chime that scares away killer worms, voodoo dolls, and so much more. “What's a killer worm?” I asked Eclipse, running to catch up to her. “There are giant worms that eat living things, don't worry there only in the in-between dimension.” Eclipse explains to me. I go up to the stand to get one just in case. The lady hands me one for free. “You're a very special child… Take one. You'll need it soon,” the old shopkeeper tells me. I caught up with the group, still looking at the shops. I placed the wind chime carefully in my bag. It was until I realized Mikro was gone, but then I noticed she came back with bags full of stuff. “Here Ares, some griffin eggs,” Mikro tells me, then hands them to me. “I don't need 7 griffin eggs…” I told her. “You eat them, but they can hatch into griffins!” Mikro squealed. “Oh ok, so they are like chicken eggs, right?” I ask Mikro. She looked at me with a confused look. She asked, “What's a chicken egg?” I looked at her and sighed. “It's nothing.” I did not want to explain that story. I shove the eggs in my bag. But as I get the last egg in I realize it's too full. I sighed and just zip it up. I’ll deal with it later… We continued walking down the streets of the market. But my head jerks to a direction when someone calls my name…
