8| Competition Begins

Morning sunlight spread across the enormous training complex prepared by the company. What the idols and trainees were about to experience was not just a normal survival show.

It was something far more controlled.Far more intense.At the center of the building stood a massive living space divided into four identical blocks.Each block looked like a modern dorm: bedrooms, a lounge area, a practice corner, a kitchen table, and a small workspace.But there was one unusual detail.

Between every block stood tall transparent glass walls.The teams could see each other at all times, but they could not cross into another team's space.

They would live, train, argue, laugh, and compete while constantly watching the other teams doing the same.Above the structure hung a large digital board.

LAND OF LEGEND

Inside the hall, idols from different groups gathered, looking around curiously.Members from BTS, Tomorrow X Together, Enhypen, and Seventeen stood among the trainees, trying to understand what exactly they had been brought here for.

Then the staff stepped forward. "Welcome to Land of Legend."

The room slowly became quiet.The staff gestured toward the four glass blocks."For the next phase of this project, you will all live here together."

Murmurs spread instantly.The explanation continued. "There are four teams, and each team will stay in one block." The screen behind him showed four names.

Team II
Team III
Team IV

Then the staff pointed toward the trainees standing near the front."These four trainees will lead the teams."

"yn.Seyeon.Haerin.And Yeri.....They are preparing to debut in a group called Brown Sugar."

Some idols nodded with interest. The staff continued. "The purpose of Land of Legend is to determine who among them will become the leader of the group." A ripple of surprise spread through the room.

The rules were simple.But the situation wasn't.Each trainee would lead a team made up of idols.Their performances, teamwork, decisions, and leadership would be evaluated through multiple missions.

The trainee whose team proved the strongest would become the official leader of Brown Sugar.But before any missions could begin, there was another rule.The staff smiled slightly."Since you will all be living here..."He gestured toward the dorm structure."...you must also decide your roommates."

The idols immediately began whispering.Each block contained two shared bedrooms, meaning teammates would have to choose who they would live with.

And since the walls were transparent-Everyone would see every decision.

Who got along.....Who argued.....Who avoided each other......Who formed alliances....Everything.

The staff finished explaining."You will have one hour to move into your blocks and decide your roommates."

"After that, the first mission will be announced."

The moment the announcement ended, the room exploded with noise.Some idols laughed.Some looked nervous.Some immediately began discussing strategies.

Meanwhile, the four trainees stood silently for a moment.Because the weight of the situation had just become real.

They were not just performing.They were about to lead teams of famous idols while living under constant observation.Across the room, a familiar voice spoke quietly.

"Transparent walls..."It was Jeon Jungkook.He looked toward the dorm blocks with mild curiosity."So we can literally see what the other teams are doing all the time."

Beside him, Kim Taehyung chuckled."That's going to get chaotic."Not far away, members of Seventeen were already joking about who would steal snacks from the kitchen.

Meanwhile the trainees exchanged glances. Because this environment meant one thing.There would be no privacy.

Every leadership choice.Every mistake.Every argument.Would be visible through the glass.

Above them, the large screen slowly changed.

LAND OF LEGEND - PHASE 1:COHABITATION

The competition hadn't even begun yet.And already...The psychological game had started. Standing near the center of the room was yn, the trainee representing Brown Sugar for this team.

For a moment everyone simply looked at each other.Then someone spoke first.A familiar warm voice.

"Let's introduce ourselves." It was Jeon Jungkook.He smiled lightly and gestured around the room.

"Might make living together less awkward."A few people laughed.He began first."I'm Jungkook from BTS." Standing beside him, another member gave a relaxed nod.

"Kim Taehyung."Next, a tall idol stepped forward."World wide handsome jin" Everyone chuckled hearing him.

"Choi Yeonjun from Tomorrow X Together." Another member raised his hand shyly."Choi Soobin." From the couch, someone leaned forward."Yoon Jeonghan"Beside him another member spoke calmly."Yang Jungwon."

Near the kitchen counter, a member from Seventeen waved."Xu Minghao."Next to him another smiled politely."Lee Jihoon."Finally, everyone's attention shifted toward the last person.yn.

She smiled slightly, trying not to show the nerves building inside."I'm yn."She continued,

"A trainee... and part of the upcoming group Brown Sugar."Several idols nodded encouragingly.Taehyung gave a small approving smile.

"Well, leader," he said casually."Nice to meet you."

Before the moment could become awkward, a staff member entered the block carrying a small box.The announcement echoed through the speakers.

"Now that everyone has greeted their teammates..."The box was placed on the table."You will draw roommate chits."

Everyone leaned forward."Each chit contains a number.""Members with the same number will share a room."Inside the dorm were two bedrooms.Two beds in each.Which meant two roommates per room.No switching.Excitement immediately filled the room."Okay this will be interesting."

"Let's see who gets who."One by one they stepped forward.Yeonjun opened his first.

"Number 1."Jay checked his."Number 3."Woozi unfolded his slowly."...Number 2."Beside him Taehyung opened his chit.He paused.Then showed it."Number 2."

The room burst into laughter.Jungkook laughed."Of course.""Fate."Across the room Soobin checked his."Number 1."Yeonjun pointed dramatically."Roommate."

Meanwhile Jungwon and The8 discovered they both had Number 3.Which left Jungkook and yn with the final number.He looked at his paper again."Number 4."

yn slowly opened hers."...Number 4."Jungkook looked up."Well."He smiled politely."Looks like we're roommates." She just bowed to him and everyone just smiled at her politeness .

Through the glass wall, other teams could be seen doing the same thing.Settling in.Choosing beds.Talking through the transparent divider.The dorm was slowly coming alive.But above all four blocks, the giant screen still displayed one message.

LAND OF LEGEND

Because the moment everyone finished settling into their rooms...The real competition would finally begin.
