SHIN ROO

Here I am, at this party celebrating the success of the drama I poured my heart into. It's supposed to be a joyful occasion, but the crowd is overwhelming, and seeing Jimin here just adds to my discomfort. For the past six months, his presence has been a constant reminder of tension and unease.

As I waited for my drink, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I was surprised to see Xavier, my co-actor from last year. He took a seat beside me, brushing his hand on my back in a way that always made me uncomfortable.

"Hey there! It's been a while," Xavier said with a wide grin.

"Hi, Xavier," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady despite feeling uneasy. "You look great! How have you been?" he asked, oblivious to my discomfort. "I've been okay," I managed to reply, hoping the conversation wouldn't linger.

Feeling increasingly uneasy, I stood up, hoping to politely end the conversation and get away from his uncomfortable presence. However, before I could move away, he grabbed my wrist, causing my anxiety to spike. Aware of his influential position as an actor and feeling trapped in the crowded room, I struggled to maintain composure.

"Xavier, please," I whispered, trying to free my wrist subtly.

His grin widened, oblivious or indifferent to my discomfort. "Come on, don't be like that. Let's catch up," he insisted, his grip tightening slightly. "Please let me go" I said politely but he smirked and pulled me even closer and caressed my back .

The noise of the party seemed to fade into the background as I struggled internally with how to handle the situation. Aware of the public setting and Xavier's status, I felt trapped and vulnerable. "You are so beautiful and I can make you a lot successful , only if you give me something in return " His dirty smirk is only making me want to punch him .

"I'm not interested, Xavier," I managed to say, my voice trembling with a mixture of fear and indignation. His smirk persisted, his grip tightening slightly as if to assert control.

"You have so much potential," he continued, his tone patronizing. "Think about what I can do for your career." I was about to say something but voice from behind stopped me .

"And think about what I can do with your career?" And in the next second Xavier was on the floor because of hard punch , I looked back and saw Jimin glaring at him . He was about to blow one more punch to him but I held him back and looked at him pleading to stop .

"Are you okay?" Jimin asked, his voice laced with concern as he helped me stand away from the scene.

I nodded, still processing what had just happened. The atmosphere around us had shifted dramatically, with murmurs and whispers spreading through the room. Xavier, now visibly shaken and embarrassed, was being helped up by others nearby.

"Let me drop you home" He was about to hold my hand but I immediately stepped back . "Look Jimin I really appreciate you helped me but that doesn't make things any better between us" His expression faltered briefly, his eyes searching mine for understanding. "I know," he replied softly, a hint of regret in his voice.

"But how long are you going to punish me?" Jimin asked, his voice tinged with a mixture of frustration and sincerity. "I regret it, okay? I regret leaving you in the past, but can't you see my efforts?"

His words hung in the air, heavy with emotion and the weight of our shared history. I hesitated, feeling a surge of conflicting emotions—anger, hurt, but also a flicker of empathy for the vulnerability in his voice.

"Jimin," I began softly, struggling to find the right words amidst the turmoil inside me. "It's not about punishment. It's about trust, about healing." I met his gaze, hoping he could understand the depth of my feelings.
