Miss. Sambhavita never thought the horror she ran away from will present itself in front of her in her own courtyard. She was in the middle of setting snacks bars in her own classroom because usually students don't get time to catch a meal and she would never let them go on classes after classes without anything, when she heard the screaming from outside. Like everyone she also ran outside but her legs froze the moment her eyes landed on the twisted figure of a student in the snow. The flashes of her life she left behind were running in front of her eyes like a nightmare. She couldn't go back and hide like she always does because when she was about to turn back her gaze fell on a figure standing just in front of the dead body. Something familiar was about it. He was mimicking herself. Frozen in fear. He saw something he would never be able to forget. She ran. Not back to her class to hide. Not to her safe zone but towards her fear. She refused to let another soul witness the fear she did. She refused to let Neerav go through what she does. she ran and shielded him with her own body. Dragged the young man away from the place."Ma'am,.. it's Taran" the name was hammered in her heart. Of course she knew the guy. He was her best student. She couldn't look back. No.. Taran is gone. Focus on Neerav. She scolded herself.
Her colleagues are taking action. Veteran professor Mr. Banarjee's voice was ranging telling them to go inside. They can handle everyone. She took Neerav into her classroom. Sat him down and wrapped her own shawl around him to calm the guy because till then he started panicking. It took her 20 minutes to calm him. No. Not him. To calm herself. Her hands were reaching for her bags a lot of time. No.. she can't. Not in front of the kid. She walked out after Neerav agreed to drink some coffee and eat a piece of bread she had kept for her own breakfast.
"How is the kid?" Dean. Singh was quick to ask.
"He is very shaken. But alright. How are the other kids?" Sambhavita asked no one in general but Mr. Banarjee answered.
"Arguing like cats and dogs. Sabko USS room main dala hai."
"Obviously karenge na Sir. Apne samne kya kya dekha hai. Abhi agar hum sabko ek room Main band kar dia jae to hum sab to ek dusre ko mar khaye. Ye log to kamse kam arguing."
"Miss. Sambhavita! Ap jara jaiye waha, keep them from ripping each other's heads out." Mr. Sinha another professor said. Sambhavita nodded before saying
"Dean sir, I think bachho ko Ghar vej Dena chaiye."
"Legally hum esa nai kar sakte. It's a criminal case. until the cops gave us permission to leave. We can't leave. Or send students away." Mr. Banarjee said justifying his Criminal law position.
"But sir.... Right now the state they are in wo statement kya kuch vi nai de sakte."
"Mrs. Joshi...." She looked sharply at Dean Singh "Miss. Joshi..." He corrected himself. She wanted to roll her eyes so bad at that point but stopped herself. "I think Banarjee sahab sahi keh rahe hain. Students ko kahi nai vej sakte. But aap unhe shant kar sakti Hain. Right now, you should focus on that."
