The gap they got was two days and these whole two days they put together all the bills and doctors notes Taran has to prove he was medicated. They also talked to Tushar Hooda. Taran's brother who turned in on the day of the next hearing to testify. The morning of the day they were preparing for the case when Tushar reached.
"Tushar Bhaiya!" Sanjeet said walking up to him.
"Kese ho Sanjeet?" He asked.
"I'm good. Thank you for coming down here. Come I'll introduce you to the team." They walked up to the team.
"Ap nikhil ko jante hi ho. Yehi hamara Lawyer hai. He is good."
"Ofcourse!" Tushar said shaking hands with Nikhil.
"This is Ayan and Neerav. That the girls. Pratichi, Anaya and Kavya. That's Ruhani."
"Have we met before?" Tushar said directly to Ruhani, making a face as if he was trying to remember where he saw her before.
"I don't think so." Ruhani said nonchalantly not taking her eye off of Tushar. The moment he looked away without anyone noticing she let out a small chock in her throat and composed herself.
"This is Banarjee sir and Sambhavita Mam."
"Hello, Mr. Hooda. Thank you so much for coming." Sambhavita said. "Taran was lucky to have a family that cares for him."
"Still it was not enough. But yes. He used to talk about you, Miss Sambhavita." Tushar said. "Thank you for being there when we weren't around."
The session started and they presented all the evidence that they collected. And interrogated some staff and students of the college as witnesses of Taran's normal behaviour.
"Miss Tomar. How often did you see Mr. Hooda in a week?" Nikhil asked Ruhani.
"Once. Sometimes twice a week for 2 hours. He was tutoring me in criminal law. I was failing that class." Ruhani answered.
"How do you describe him? His behaviour? His way of talking?"
"Definitely one of the greatest minds you will ever see. Calm and quiet. Very soft spoken and unbothered."
"Have you ever seen or felt him doing things out of ordinary?"
"Never."
"Your witness." Nikhil said to Minakshi Sidhhant.
"Miss. Tomar! Is it true. You aren't officially in the club of 'lets play detective'?"
"No. I'm not a part of it. I started hanging out with them later and took an interest in what they were doing because I knew Taran."
"How did it start? Why did you suddenly decide this is the group you want to 'hang out' with."
Ruhani looked at all of them then looked back to the lawyer.
"Some days back Sanjeet was injured in a supposed accident and was hospitalized. I have always liked Sanjeet. I couldn't help myself and went to see him."
Nikhil almost choked on the air hearing this. And the whole courtroom seemed to be taken aback.
"That's it?" Mrs Sidhhant asked unimpressed with the answer.
"Can you deny it? Look at him. Isn't he a complete eye candy? Come on Mrs Sidhhant, it may be centuries ago but you were in college once. Do we women need any better reason to tolerate boring people unless there is a hot guy involved?"
"No more questions " she said dismissingly.
Ruhani gave a mock bow to the magistrate who hardly seemed to control his laughter since she started talking about Sanjeet. While going to her seat she crossed Mrs, Sidhhant walked towards her desk, and tripped her. Ruhani caught her almost the last second and took advantage of their proximity, said in her ear,
