Ayan came back with food and change of clothes for Mr. Thakur. Who refuses to eat anything or move until he meets Sanjeet. The blood transfusion seemed ok and Sanjeet was half conscious so Dr. Vedi allowed it only for Sambhavita and Mr. Thakur.
"Hy buddy!!!" Mr. Thakur said in a grogged voice which was evident he was trying to control his tears. Sambhavita placed a hand on his back.
"Hi dad! Is everyone alright?" Sanjeet asked in a whisper.
"Everyone is alright bete. Ap kese ho?"
"Kandhe main bohat dard ho Raha hai Dad."
"Jay... That's enough. Let us put him under so that pain Kam ho jaye uska." Dr. Vedi said.
"You will be fine Son. Just fine."
Mr Thakur said and left. Sambhavita with teary eyes couldn't decide whether to follow him or stay with the kid who is hurting. She sat with Sanjeet running her fingers in his hair. She was softly humming a song. Sanjeet fell asleep holding her hand.
"What song was that?" Dr. Vedi asked.
"Maggie siff. Lullaby for a soldier." She said.
"Jay used to sing this a lot. Not as beautiful and musical as you though. But he does."
"I know Sanjeet told me once. I sang it now to calm him."
"Sambhavita I don't know your equation in this... But I'm glad you are here and with Jay. He is a broken man. He seems tough from the outside. And he indeed is extremely strong but right now he is like a wounded animal. And looks like you know how to tame him."
"Doctor? Do you think there is a place for me anywhere?"
"If you let it." Dr. Vedi said and held out his arm. "Come on let him sleep."
As they came out Sambhavita couldn't find Mr. Thakur anywhere. Which led her outside the hospital. He was sitting on a deserted bench. Definitely had a good cry. She walked up to him and sat in front of him.
