In Mercenary's Mercy (SHORT STORY)

Chapter 1

Harper was 3 years old when her mother died. 1 month later, her father married his first love and a year later, her sister was born.

She never felt loved by them. It was a shotgun marriage between her parents dahil nabuntis ng kaniyang ama ang mommy niya after he raped her. Her mom was 18 during that time and her dad was 28.

Harper was a product of rape and para hindi makulong ang dad niya ay napagkasunduan ng dalawang pamilya na magpakasal sila.

She was never happy. Even her mom is ayaw sa kaniya at lalo naman ang kaniyang ama. Mas mahal ng kaniyang ama ang kapatid niya kasi bunga ito ng pagmamahalan nila ng bago niyang asawa.

She grew up having no friends and takot sa tao. She was home schooled and the moment she finished Senior High School ay hindi na nila siya pinag-aral until her greatest nightmare came. It changed her life and she's now barely living.

My name is Hapi but I don't know what happiness feels like. It seems like my existence is not necessary in this world.

Dalawang araw na siya sa bahay ng lalaki and all she did was clean the surroundings. Hindi rin naman sila nag-uusap at sa tingin niya ay ito lang ang purpose niya sa bahay na 'to, maging katulong.

Natatakot siya sa butler na lalaki na kasama niya sa bahay sa tuwing umaalis ang kaniyang mapapangasawa at mas lalo naman siyang takot dito.

"My lady, lord Trevor will not be home for a week" ani ng butler

"Ahh. Okay po" she replied

She wanted to ask if nasaan an lalaki pero takot siya sa posibleng mangyari. Alam niyang wala siyang kasangga sa sa lugar na ito and the best way to survive is to shut her mouth.

"My name is Nikolai, my lady. I have noticed that you are uncomfortable and feel frightened every time I come near you. I am a friend"

Tumitig siya sa lalaki dahil kita niya ang sensiridad sa mga mata nito. Tumango siya at saka muling yumuko.

"I'm Hapi" she replied

"I'm glad you're happy, my lady" ani Nikolai saka ito ngumiti at napakamot sa batok

"N-no. I- I mean my name is Hapi"

"How is she?" He asked, Nikolai over the phone.

He's been out of the country for 2 weeks now. Their mission got extended dahil nagkaaberya.

"She's doing fine, my lord. I suggest you hire a maid for her. I have noticed that she's uncomfortable and maybe she needs someone to talk to"

"Did you noticed something strange about her?"

"Nothing, my lord. But I sometimes caught her spacing out. There's something about her"

"Call Mona. Tell her to come to the mansion and look after her"

"Yes, my lord "

"Make it quick!" Her sister hissed

"Did you really watch?" The guy asked habang onti-onti nitong inaalis ang sinturon ng pantalon nito.

"I was recording it so yeh"

Nakabaluktot parin siya dahil sa sakit ng ulo. She was sick and after she ate her med ay nakatulog siya agad. Nagising siyang masakit ang kaniyang katawan.

"What have you done?" She murmured

"She's awake, Venice, the fuck!" Sigaw ng lalaki pero tawa lang ang sinagot ng kaniyang kapatid.
