Brittany stormed out of Quinn's house, frustration boiling over, leaving Santana calling her name in vain behind her. Ignoring the calls, she marched straight to her car and drove off, her mind swirling with a mix of anger and disappointment.

Seeking solace, she found herself pulling into the nearest coffee shop. As she walked in, her eyes fell upon a tall guy with a dorky yet endearing look on his face. She made her way to the counter, and he greeted her with a grin, asking, "What would you like to order?"

Brittany puffed her cheeks out and replied defiantly, "Hot chocolate."

The guy couldn't help but laugh, "Hot chocolate? It's July."

Unfazed, Brittany shrugged, "Hot chocolate is way better than coffee."

He chuckled, conceding, "True."

Their exchange continued as he observed, "You seem sad."

Brittany chewed her cheek, hesitating before dismissing, "It's not that serious."

But he shook his head, insisting, "You can't fool me it definitely serious."

"You don't even know me," Brittany retorted, though a part of her appreciated his perceptiveness.

With a charming smile, he replied, "You seem like one of those really happy and energetic girls."

Brittany's facade faltered as she glanced down at the floor, unable to maintain the facade.

But he persisted, his dimples appearing as he said, "I knew it."

She couldn't help but chuckle, conceding, "You got me."

His smile widened, and he suggested, "How about I take my lunch break after I give you your drink, and you can tell me what's wrong?"

Brittany hesitated, taken aback by his offer. "We just met," she pointed out.

He shrugged nonchalantly, "I want to make new friends anyways."

Brittany smiled, touched by his kindness, as he topped off her hot chocolate and secured the lid onto her cup.

Brittany sat alone, lost in thought, when a guy slid into the seat in front of her. "So, what's wrong?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.

Brittany shook her head, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Before I tell you everything, maybe we should know each other's names," she suggested playfully.

The guy mock-frowned. "Damn, I really wanted to stay anonymous," he quipped, eliciting a giggle from Brittany. "I'm Finn."

Brittany smiled warmly. "I'm Brittany."

"It suits you," Finn remarked with a nod.

"Thanks," Brittany replied.

"So, are you going to start from the beginning?" Finn prompted.

Brittany nodded, beginning her tale. "So, I had this football tournament, and I noticed this cheerleader looking at me while talking to their friend."

Finn nodded in understanding, and Brittany continued. "Then, a few minutes later, we were looking at each other, and I smiled at them, making them blush."

Finn interjected, "If it's a girl, you can just say so. I don't judge."

Brittany glanced at him, and Finn quickly added, "I'm an ally."

Brittany giggled. "Okay." She resumed her story, recounting how they bumped into each other later, and the cheerleader asked her for coffee.

Finn nodded along, and Brittany continued, "But the day we decided to get coffee was when I decided I'm going to be my best friend's beard, and he will be mine."
