Santana sat on the edge of Kurt's bed, wiping the last traces of makeup from her face with a makeup wipe. Nearby, Kurt stood with Brittany, gently wiping away the layers of makeup from her skin. As he worked, Santana couldn't help but voice her curiosity.
"Why did you have this stuff lying around?" Santana inquired, tossing the used wipe into the trash bin.
Kurt paused momentarily, casting a glance at Santana before resuming his task. "It's for the drama club at school," he replied casually, his tone betraying nothing.
Brittany tilted her head, a puzzled expression crossing her features. "There's no drama club at our school," she pointed out, furrowing her brow in confusion.
Kurt's glare bore into Brittany, but she seemed unfazed by his reaction. "What? There isn't," she insisted, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly.
Santana couldn't help but tease her friend. "Don't be embarrassed if you want to know how you look pregnant," she quipped, a playful smirk playing on her lips.
Kurt rolled his eyes at Santana's remark, but a small smile tugged at the corners of Brittany's lips.
Brittany walked into the classroom, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on Karofsky, sitting in his usual spot. She made her way over and took the seat next to him, giving him a small smile.
"Hey," she greeted.
Karofsky glanced up from his phone, his expression serious. "Is it true?"
Brittany gave him a weird look. "Is what true?"
He shrugged, a smirk playing at his lips. "You know, that you're hooking up with Santana."
"What? No," Brittany replied, taken aback.
Karofsky leaned in closer, showing her his phone. "I've seen pics of you two though."
Brittany narrowed her eyes at the image of her and Santana walking closely side by side. "Am I not allowed to walk with someone now?"
"No need to get all sassy on me," Karofsky said. "I just want to know if you two dykes are together."
"So what if me and her are together? It's not like I'm making you any less gay," Brittany shot back.
Karofsky's jaw dropped. "I'm not gay."
Brittany raised an eyebrow. "Then why were you checking out Sebastian's ass?"
"I was just seeing what jeans he was wearing," Karofsky stammered.
Brittany couldn't help but laugh. "Like that's any less gay."
Karofsky shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "So you are dating Santana."
"What?" Brittany exclaimed.
"She said the same thing to me!" Karofsky blurted out.
A smile crept onto Brittany's face. "Well, maybe she's right."
Karofsky paused, then quickly added, "Not that I'm gay because I hate fags obviously, but she's influenced you."
Rolling her eyes, Brittany shook her head. "It doesn't matter if I'm dating Santana. What matters is that you don't know 2+2."
Kurt hurried down the hallway, his mind already preoccupied with the upcoming class. As he passed by the janitor's office, a strong hand tugged him inside, causing him to gasp in surprise.
"I'm armed!" Kurt exclaimed, his hand instinctively reaching for his bag.
But before he could react further, Brittany flicked on the light, revealing her mischievous grin. Kurt sighed dramatically, his heart still racing from the sudden scare.
"You almost gave me a heart attack," he chided, trying to catch his breath.
Brittany paid no mind to his protest and launched into her story. "So, I went to math class, right?"
Kurt nodded, intrigued.
"And Karofsky started asking me if I'm hooking up or dating Santana," Brittany continued.
Kurt raised an eyebrow. "What did you say?"
A wide grin spread across Brittany's face. "I didn't deny it."
Kurt gasped, his excitement bubbling up. He started jumping up and down, mirroring Brittany's enthusiasm. "Really?!"
Brittany nodded vigorously. "I was like, so what if I'm dating Santana? What matters is that you can't do 2+2."
Kurt's smile widened at Brittany's boldness. "I thought this day would never come."
Brittany smiled back at him, but her expression faltered slightly. "You think Santana will be proud?"
Kurt nodded reassuringly. "Obviously! She'll probably be excited that you two can act all lovey-dovey."
Brittany's confidence returned, and she beamed at Kurt.
Santana hurried down the hallway, her mind buzzing with thoughts of the upcoming cheerleading practice. As she approached Quinn's locker, she froze in her tracks when she saw JBI standing in front of her.
"I thought you went to Carmel," Santana remarked, eyeing him warily.
JBI ignored her comment and got straight to the point. "Is it true you're dating Brittany S. Pierce?"
Santana's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean?"
JBI smirked, enjoying the opportunity to stir up some drama. "In Brittany's math class, she said, 'So what if I'm dating Santana.'"
Santana's heart raced as she glanced around, feeling exposed. "I have to go," she muttered, shoving past JBI in a rush.
In her haste, she knocked into him, causing him to drop his microphone. Without looking back, Santana continued down the hallway, her mind swirling with a mix of emotions and thoughts about Brittany.
Brittany and Kurt sat side by side, observing the bustling scene around them. The cafeteria buzzed with students chatting and laughter filling the air. Brittany absentmindedly chewed on her sandwich when Kurt's unexpected words jolted her attention.
"I want to transfer to McKinley," Kurt declared, his voice calm yet determined.
Brittany's chewing halted, and she swallowed hastily before responding, concern knitting her brows. "Does your dad know?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry.
Kurt nodded reassuringly. "He's on board with it," he affirmed. "In fact, he's willing to make it happen."
A pout formed on Brittany's lips. "But I don't want to be alone," she admitted, her eyes reflecting her apprehension.
Kurt's smirk hinted at a secret he was about to reveal. "That's why I convinced your mom to let you transfer too," he revealed, watching her reaction carefully. "We'll be going to McKinley together next week."
Brittany's jaw dropped in disbelief, her mind struggling to process the sudden turn of events. "But what about soccer? I can't just leave," she protested, worry creeping into her voice.
Before she could voice any further concerns, Kurt interjected with a solution. "You have a spot on the team," he assured her. "Although, it's mostly guys."
Brittany's mind raced with conflicting emotions, but before she could respond, her phone began to ring. Glancing at the caller ID, she saw Santana's name flashing on the screen. Kurt gestured for her to put it on speaker, and she complied.
"Britt, did you tell people we're dating?" Santana's voice echoed through the phone, her tone a mixture of curiosity and anticipation.
Brittany hesitated for a moment, exchanging a quick glance with Kurt, who nodded encouragingly. "I may have implied it," she confessed finally, her heart pounding in her chest.
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Santana's voice erupted with excitement. "So, you're ready to come out?" she asked eagerly.
Brittany glanced at Kurt once more, finding reassurance in his supportive gaze. With a deep breath, she spoke the words she had been longing to say. "Yeah," she confirmed, her voice filled with newfound confidence.
