The Years of the pain, as which can only be described of what Belos has brought upon all these poor witches. Getting them to strip away all their magical powers and to be sectioned away into specific covens of magic. All freedom has been removed from what these witches, demons, and creatures so call home, though there were these specific two..’witches’. Belos’ right hand guards; the Golden Guard, and the Silver Soldier. They were seen as spoiled rotten little rats that feasted off the Emperor's power like starving rodents. But all in all, not everything seen, was all that happened.
It was early in the morning, the sun had just begun to rise on the isles, supplying a nice milky orange color to the sky. Amity was on her way back from a mission she was sent on. ‘Recruit all students’ repeated over and over in her head, like some robot that needed their batteries fixed. Amity sighed while walking her way back to the castle, a young witch walking eagerly beside her. They weren't sure why the witch was so happy, their only special features making them different from others were being taken. Though, it wasn't her place to think about that, it was uncle Belos’ place.
Finally, the two made it to the Emperor's castle, the Guard approached the front door, she watched as the two coven scouts dipped their heads, bowing in respect. She waited patiently as the two scouts opened the pure metal doors, a loud scratching noise escaped it, causing her ears to flick in discomfort under her cloak. She stood there, controlling her own discomfort before walking inside the castle, an excited witch following her, asking her all kinds of questions in which she just ignored. She didn't have time for this, she had to get back to Emperor Belos and report his success. He walked deep down into the hall, finally pausing as his boots quit clicking against the green carpet that covered the hard wooden floor. The witch looked at her with a confused look at why he suddenly stopped. Within seconds, Coven scouts surrounded the witch, forcefully ripping the staff out the witch's hands, the other scouts dragging the witch away. Amity looked away, ignoring the screams of sudden shock and fear coming from the witch. Titan, he hated screaming, he hated having to do this to anyone, but, it was the right thing to do, and sometimes doing the right thing hurts.
A slight frown formed on their face under their mask, soon the clicking of their boots started up again as they swiftly begun walking towards the throne room. Each Coven scout aligned up against the wall bowed in respect as he passed them, though some began whispering once he was far enough to not hear, they didn't exactly like Amity, he was seen as some spoiled little nuisance, constantly tattling on everyone in an attempt to get the smallest amount of praise from the Emperor. Amity knew the Coven scouts didn't like him, almost everyone in this castle didn't, but she didn't have time to focus on that. She finally made it to the throne room, using all her strength to open the huge metal doors. His hidden eyes were welcomed with the masked eyes of whom he called uncle. She walked forward, kneeling down on the green carpet, his head rising up to keep his eyes staring into his uncles.
“You did as I asked, right? You recruited yet another guard, right?” Belos asked, a hint of aggression rattled off his deep strong voice, power seeping through each word. Amity nodded her head, holding her body back from shaking, her mind from going wild, what if it wasn't enough??? What if Belos wanted her to do more than just one new guard?? What if he expected more out of her..Just as she began to panic, Belos spoke up yet again. “Good. It's the least you could do after last mission..we wouldn't want you to fail again would we? That wasn't a nice time was it.” Amity's ears perked up from the second of praise, she felt proud of herself, only for it to be crushed and replaced with fear in a matter of seconds. Last mission was awful, she failed, she failed Belos, and Belos made sure to let her know she did. Since that night, new scars have been plastered against her arms and back, still healing as he speaks. Amity shook her head no, fear cycling through her blood, just as she went to finally allow herself to breath, a loud groan of pain escaped the Emperor, his fingers digging into the arm rests of his throne. Amity knew exactly what was going on, his curse has been worse and worse each day, which was awful for her. He took his anger and pain out on him more and more, bruises, open wounds, and stitches covering the poor guard more frequently than they used to. Amity closed her eyes, his head looking Down to the floor as he heard his uncle groan more in pain. Soon Belos’ hands began to form goopy claws, he stood up from his thrown as his back molded, soon a screech of pain and anger escaped him as he began to repeatedly punch an already broken wooden piller. Goop splattering across the piller, he let out one last screech before returning back to normal, his arms, head, and torso twisting and molding back into his normal state. His mask was cracked as green goop seeped out of it. He reached over and grabbed a staff leaning up against his throne, it had a palisman attached to the end of it, presumably a staff Hunter brought to Belos after also recruiting yet another guard. Ragged breathing escaped the Emperor as he broke the the palisman off the end of the staff, causing it to come to life, Amity closed her eyes beneath her mask as she heard the cries and chirps of pain in which seemed to be coming from a bird palisman, soon those cries of pain were silenced by the sudden sound of wood cracking. Amity felt her muscles tense as she heard the sudden crack, knowing yet another life of a palisman was taken.
Glowing green magical blood dripped out the wooden body of the palisman, dropping into the mask of the Emperor through the eye holes. The palisman’s body soon faded away, leaving ashes in the air as a satisfied sigh left the Emperor. His eyes glowed blue and stared deeply at Amity, even though Amity wasn't looking at him, she knew he was looking at her. Finally, Belos spoke again once more “Leave, you no longer have any use for today. Get your brother once he comes back from the mission and tell him you two must train. I am always watching, remember that, so do as I say. You are excused,” Belos growled out, he watched as Amity stood up, pushing open The massive metal doors yet again, which soon closed with a loud bang. Yet another day for the Emperor's right hand guards, Amity and Hunter, was over. tomorrow awaits and howls with what pain it has to bring.
