Stevie watched Lindsey from across the room, sipping champagne. He looked so handsome in his grey suit that she'd picked out for the special occasion. It had been over a year since they got back together and the spark was most definitely still there, she was glad no one around her had the ability to read her mind. She grabbed a flute off a tray, when one of the staff members was passing her by, and took a step into his direction.

"Nervous?" Stevie asked, offering him the glass.

"Oh, uh-" Lindsey nodded, swallowing uneasily. "Yeah. Is it that obvious?" Their fingers touched, when he reached for the champagne and downed it in one go, wiping the sweat off his other hand on his pants.

"To me? It's pretty obvious." Stevie chuckled, moving to stand beside him, she wrapped her arm around his shoulders and leaned in closer to whisper. "You're gonna be great."

"I hope so." Lindsey replied, covering her hand with his, he brushed his thumb over her skin softly. "I don't want to embarrass Callie. I can play guitar or sing, or write a song, but I do not dance." Lindsey shook his head, he'd been dreading the father-daughter dance from the second Callie expressed her wish.

It was mostly a traditional wedding, except for a bunch of A-list celebrities in attendance, and Callie wanted to have that special moment with Lindsey. There was no way that he was ever going to say, no, but he also had a condition; he had to be allowed to have a few drinks in him first to calm his nerves, he would let Callie know, when he was ready. Stevie thought he was being silly, he was a much better dancer than a cook, but Callie didn't see any problem with that.

"I'm sure she's just happy you agreed to it." Stevie assured, her eyes now on Callie, who was following Emma around the dancefloor, the girl's little fists firmly wrapped around her mother's fingers as she did her best to walk on her still wobbly legs. "Do you think we'll ever... you know..."

Lindsey frowned, turning to face her. "What, have another kid?"

"No." Stevie rolled her eyes. "No. I mean..."

Lindsey's eyes widened, his mouth agape. "You mean, get married? If that's what you're trying to say, I'll call the officiant right now and tell him to-"

"Well, not right now." Stevie laughed, reaching for another two flutes of champagne. Lindsey scratched the back of his head, wondering if that was just the alcohol talking.

"I'd like to say, yes." Lindsey smiled, clinking his glass against hers. "But that's up to you." He shrugged. "You know what I want." Stevie remained silent. She took a sip, thinking that maybe she had to slow down a bit. "Alright." Lindsey took a deep breath. "It's time." He announced and locked eyes with Callie, whose face instantly lit up.

Stevie couldn't stop smiling as she, along with the other guest, watched Callie and Lindsey in the center of the room, swaying to the music. She found it adorable how focused he was, careful not to step on Callie's toes, while Callie moved to the rhythm perfectly. She also desperately wanted to know what it was that Lindsey whispered to Callie for her jaw to drop, she then nodded her head, a huge grin on her face. The music faded out and they took a bow to thunderous applause, Lindsey jokingly making a motion with his hand as if to wipe the sweat off his forehead, relieved he didn't mess up.

"You were fantastic." Stevie cupped his face and pulled him in for a kiss. "That was really beautiful."

"Thank you." Lindsey pecked her on the lips once more, his eyebrows then creased, when she took his hand in hers and moved to go somewhere else. Where? He had no clue. However, now was not the time. "Wait, where-"

"Come on." Stevie urged, tugging at his hand, but Lindsey shook his head. "Why not?"

"I think, Callie's about to do the bouquet thing." Lindsey explained. "You know, since everyone's gathered in one place already."

"Oh. Okay." Stevie said, a little disappointed that her plan of getting a few minutes of privacy with Lindsey failed.

All the single women stepped forward, anxiously waiting, hoping to catch the gorgeous bouquet of lilies. Callie turned around to see if they were ready then looked the other way again. She closed her eyes and teased her friends a couple of times, pretending that she was about to throw it. However, Callie faced the guests again, they stared right back at her confused.

"I hope you all can forgive me." Callie spoke up and went straight to her unsuspecting mother. "Your turn, dad."

Her eyebrows creased, Stevie looked at the flowers now in her hands, up at Callie and finally at Lindsey, who seemed much more nervous than he was before the dance.

"Are you s-serious?" Stevie managed to ask, the room was completely silent.

"I am." Lindsey nodded. "I didn't plan on doing this, but earlier, when you-"

"That's what you and Callie were talking about." Stevie realized. "I-I- don't... wait, are you serious?" She repeated and he nodded again, unsure if he was supposed to start smiling yet. "Yes."

"Yes?" Lindsey repeated, not necessarily having expected that answer.

"Yes!" Stevie exclaimed and threw her arms around his neck. "I wasn't trying to pressure you." Stevie spoke into Lindsey's ear, knowing that nobody could overhear as they cheered and applauded.

"I know." Lindsey replied, his arms tightly wrapped around her. "I just needed to know that you might want me for the rest of your life."

"I do. I do!" Stevie drew back slightly.

"Slow down, I don't even have a ring yet." Lindsey winced, when she smacked him on the arm. "Told you I wasn't planning on doing this."

Stevie cradled his face in her hands, his gripped her waist and they finally shared a proper kiss, not caring that a couple of hundred eyes were on them.

"I want you for the rest of my life." Stevie said.
