(I'm still bored so I'm still writing random chapters! To this book and this book only. Idk why but I have no motivation for anything else)

Martyn's POV:

It has been a few days since I started avoiding Jimmy, it's difficult because Joel still sits in my spot at lunch. Leaving me to sit next to Jimmy. But today, it's Saturday, and I'm hanging out with Scott so it should be easy. But, Scott is an asshole. So of course he lied when he said he only wanted to hang out with me. Because when I got in his car, Jimmy was in it too, and Joel followed me out the door.

"I thought you said it was gonna be me and you." I glared at Scott as we drove off. "Oh, my bad, I must've forgotten to mention that Jimmy and Joel would be joining us!" Scott said, smirking. "I hate you." I groaned as I crossed my arms, looking out the window.

"So where are we going?" I heard Jimmy ask. "Roller skating!" Scott said. "Why?" Me and Jimmy both asked at the same time. I turned and looked at him then looked away. "Because it's fun? Why not?" He asked. "Um, I don't know how to roller skate." Jimmy said. "I don't either." I said as well. "Good day to learn." Joel smirked, I knew he had a part in this stupid plan.

We stayed silent until Scott pulled into a roller skating rink. I reluctantly got out of the car and walked into the rink. I tried to take a while putting on my roller skates so I wouldn't have to skate, but it didn't work and Scott rushed me. "Ugh. I don't like skating and I don't even know how to skate." I argued as Joel pulled me. "Too bad, Jimmy doesn't know either. You can help each other!" And with that, Joel and Scott skated away. Leaving me and Jimmy on the rink floor. "I hate them so much." I said, I then turned to Jimmy. He was looking away awkwardly.

"Wow. First time you've spoken to me in a while." He mumbled. "Yeah, sorry. Uh." I started to say, I wanted to explain how embarrassed I've been. But that would've just been more embarrassing. So I just stood there silently and looked away. "Did I do something? I mean, you're the one that slept on my shoulder, and drooled on it. I haven't done anything to you!" Jimmy finally yelled. He was obviously angry. I understood why he was angry, he had every right to be angry.

"I'm sorry. You haven't done anything." I said, I looked down. "Then why. Why won't you talk to me?" He said, annoyance, anger, and sadness in his voice. "I'm embarrassed, okay? I literally drooled on your shoulder." I said, still looking down. "Okay? And? It's not that embarrassing, I'm your friend. Yeah it was funny, but I would've forgotten about it if it hadn't been the last time you talked to me." He said, I could now hear confusion in his voice as well. "It's embarrassing because I care more about you than a friend. If I'd done that to Scott, yeah I'd be embarrassed but I would've laughed it off by now. Can't you see? You mean more to me than a friend." I said. After finishing talking I put a hand to my mouth, realizing what I had just said.

Jimmy's POV:

"Wow. First time you've spoken to me in a while." I mumbled under my breath after Martyn had finally said something to me. "Yeah, sorry. Uh." Martyn began to speak but stopped. He just stood there and wouldn't look at me. "Did I do something? I mean, you're the one that slept on my shoulder, and drooled on it. I haven't done anything to you!" I yelled, I was done being ignored, he was my best friend and I missed talking to him.

"I'm sorry. You haven't done anything." He said, then looked down. "Then why. Why won't you talk to me?" I asked again. "I'm embarrassed, okay? I literally drooled on your shoulder." He said. "Okay? And? It's not that embarrassing, I'm your friend. Yeah it was funny, but I would've forgotten about it if it hadn't been the last time you talked to me." I said, confused. Why would I care about that?

"It's embarrassing because I care more about you than a friend. If I'd done that to Scott, yeah I'd be embarrassed but I would've laughed it off by now. Can't you see? You mean more to me than a friend." I stood there confused, what did he mean by that? I was about to ask but suddenly got grabbed by someone.

"Hey Jim! Why were you guys just standing there? We're here to skate in case you didn't notice." Joel said, dragging me as he skated. "Well we were talking until you came and dragged me away." I said, slightly annoyed because I still didn't know what Martyn meant. "Well we've been here for almost an hour and a half and you two have been talking and getting in people's way the whole time." Joel laughed.

"Oh, I didn't realize we were in people's way." I then tried to find Martyn but there were too many people. "What were you guys even talking about? I thought he was giving you the silent treatment?" Joel said, almost as confused as me.

"I thought so too, so I kinda forced him to talk to me? But now I'm even more confused." I said as I almost fell because someone ran into me. "If he talked to you then why are you confused? What did he say?" Joel asked. "Well at first he was saying he's embarrassed because of the bus thing. And I didn't understand because I didn't even really care about it. But then he compared me to Scott and how I mean more to him or something?" I said, even though it sounded like I was asking.

"That dumbass." I heard Joel mumble. "What?" I asked. "I said, Martyn is a dumbass." He repeated. "That still doesn't make sense-" I began saying but Joel let go and made me bump into Scott. "Ow! What the hell?" Scott yelled toward Joel. "Sorry." I mumbled as Scott helped me up.

"Why'd he do that?" Scott asked. I shrugged. "When are we leaving?" I asked, I sounded rude but I didn't care because I was tired and confused. "We can leave now if you want, you and Martyn don't seem to want to be here." He shrugged, pulling me toward the exit.

I sat and took off my skates, I returned them and got ready to leave as I waited for Scott, Joel, and Martyn to be ready. I saw them walk over and saw Joel "yelling" at Martyn, it was more like angry whispers but before I could say anything, Scott grabbed my hand and made me walk. What's with people and dragging me today?

"What are they talking about?" I asked Scott as he pulled me outside. "Nothing important." Scott said, clearly he was annoyed too. As we got into the car everyone was silent, and everyone, including me, looked annoyed.

We were silent until we got to my house, but the only thing that broke the silence was Scott telling me goodbye.
