This one is like really short, but ignore that. I'll try and make the next one long!

Jimmy's POV:

Of course on Monday Martyn was still ignoring me. I tried to talk to him but he avoided me. I was going to give up until I found him in the bathroom.

"Hi." I said as I walked over to the sink to wash my hands. He turned his face away as he also washed his hands. "Can I ask you a question? Then you can go back to ignoring me." I asked as I shook my hands dry.

"What?" I heard him mumble. "Well, you said I mean more to you than a friend. Which I already don't really understand. But now you're ignoring me again? That doesn't make any sense either." I complained, counting the things off on my fingers.

He turned to me. "You don't understand what I meant by you mean more to me than a friend? So Joel wasn't lying." I heard him say, except he mumbled the last part so I didn't hear that. "No? Was I supposed to? I got dragged away before I could ask what you meant." I said, still confused.

"You're kinda oblivious. Or I'm not obvious enough." Martyn mumbled. "I'm not oblivious. You're just not making any sense." I said, I do admit I'm a bit oblivious but not that much...

"I'm making sense to everybody else?" He laughed awkwardly.

This conversation so far has been useless. I haven't learned a thing. "You used to be easier to talk to." I said, crossing my arms. "Maybe cause I don't have the confidence to talk to you anymore." He mumbled again.

"Why? We're best friends, unless you don't think we are." I said. "No I do. But I don't want to be "best friends" with you." He put air quotes around best friends. I kinda just looked at him. I thought we were friends. "Why? You said I didn't do anything. If you tell me what I did I can fix it." I felt my eyes start to burn. Why didn't he want to be friends with me anymore? I couldn't of done something that bad, right?

Martyn's POV:

"Why? You said I didn't do anything. If you tell me what I did I can fix it." I then looked up, Jimmy looked like he was about to cry. "No, wait. I didn't mean it like that!" I said as I hugged him. He hugged back but then pulled away. "But you said you didn't want to be my friend. This is the second time. And both times you haven't clarified what you mean." I saw a tear run down his cheek. "I like you." I finally said.
