Astrid was at the beach. The beautiful beach on the other side of Berk.
"It's so peaceful here, right girl?" Stormfly squeaked worried. She knew her rider was sad.
"I'm fine, girl, really. I just..." Astrid sighed.
"I just miss him. He's my best friend. But for some reason, I fell in love with him. Why am I saying this to you. You probably don't even understand what I'm saying." She laughed and looked at Stormfly, who was sleeping beside her.

Later that night, Astrid went back home to her father.
"Where have you been? You useless piece of argh!"
"I'm sorry, Dad. I-"
"No! I don't want to hear any excuses! You are grounded for the end of your life as a Sigurdsson! You're going to stay at home and behave like a good young woman! Am I clear, whore?!"
"Yes, father."
"What did you just call me?!"
"Yes, Sir."
"Good. Now go to your room. I don't want to see you for the rest of the day. Unless I call you."
"Yes, Sir." And she went. For the rest of the evening, she stayed in the room.
Why couldn't she just say no to her father like she did the past few years?
Why didn't she have the bravery and the strength to say something?
Why is she suddenly so weak?
She didn't know.

"Fire at the Night Fury!" Villagers screamed. The village was attacked by dragons, again.
"There's the Night Fury! Fire!" They shot at the dragon and hit it. The dragon fell on the ground.
"Come on! Let's kill it!" The villagers screamed while running towards the Night Fury.
At this moment, Hiccup ran in front of the dragon, which was lying on the ground.
"Don't kill it! It's an order! We can't kill them! We have to try to live with them in peace!"
"What are you talking about?! Have you hit your head somewhere?! They are monsters! They killed hundreds of us!" A villager yelled angrily.
"And we killed thousands of them! Please! Trust me!" With these words, Hiccup turned to the dragon, slowly reaching his hands out.
The dragon roared at first. But then, it calmed down, allowing Hiccup to touch it. He sighed in relief.
"Are you people that stupid to believe in his tricks?!" Harald yelled.
"Dragons can't be 'trained'! They are monsters! There's no world with peace! Grow up, Hiccup."
"Oh, I'm already grown-up. But here's a question for you: What would Emily say if she knew that you didn't even try to give the dragons a chance? What would she say if she knew how you treat your own daughter?! You are breaking her! You are beating her! Emily always believed in peace. So does Astrid. And so do I."
The villagers all stood there, didn't talk. Just stood there in silence.
"I'm with you, Hiccup!" Fishlegs said.
"Me, too!"
"So am I!"
"Count me in!"
And so it went on until the whole village was with Hiccup. Only Harald stood there, angry and with no one on his side.

"You useless thing! You slut! How could you turn against your own village! You are just like your f*cking mother! Outside pretending to be strong, but on the inside a helpless whore!" Harald screamed while he was beating the crap out of his daughter. She already had a blue eye. Her cheeks were red from his hands, her nose was bleeding, and he choked her hard.
"Don't you cry! You're weak! You're helpless! Useless!" Astrid whimpered. She hoped Hiccup would come and protect her, but then she realized that he might still be mad at her because she lied to him. Because she kept a secret from Hiccup.

"Harald, stop!" A familiar voice was heard.
