Harald was sent away. Away from Berk. He was now far away enough from Astrid. He couldn't hurt her anymore.
The Hofferson girl moved to Hiccup. Astrid wasn't a Sigurdsson anymore. She was always, like her mom said, a Hofferson.
Berk lived in peace with the dragons. The dragons protected the villagers, and the villagers protected the dragons.
And so it went on for years. The actual reason why the dragons attacked is that the Red Death, literally the queen of the dragons, made them attack the village and steal food for her.
"Hiccup, I can't do it. I just can't."
"Astrid, listed. You can do it. You're just a little nervous, but I know you can do it. You have a great idea, and Berk will love it. Just like I do." Astrid smiled at her boyfriend and hugged him.
"Thank you, Hiccup. I really appreciate it."
"Anytime, Milady." He said and kissed her. She melted into the kiss. They kissed each other many times, but every single time it's special. The villagers were waiting in the Great Hall.
"Well, as you all know, we made peace with the dragons. And Astrid here has a great idea which she wants to share with you." Hiccup announced and pointed at his girlfriend.
"Well, um, yeah. I had a thought that maybe outside the archipelago might be many new dragons and people. We could train the dragons, study them. And if the people still fight the dragons, we could show them that peace is possible. And we could make new allies." Astrid ended her little speech, waiting for someone to respond.
"I think it's a good idea!" Somebody call from the crowd.
"Yeah! Me, too!" Some other villager called. And so, the whole crowd was for Astrid's idea. Her smile couldn't be brighter.
"Thank you! All of you!"It was evening when Astrid and Hiccup came home.
"You did it great, Milady." Hiccup said while kissing her forhead.
"Thanks, babe. I don't know what I'd do without you." Astrid replied, sitting on their bed.
"Let's just don't think about it." She said after a while. Hiccup just nodded. He sat beside her, putting his arm around her waist.
"You really did a great job. I'm so proud of you!" Hiccup said, kissing Astrid's neck.Astrid was the first one who woke up. She found herself in her boyfriend's arms, her head on his chest. She looked at his adorable sleeping face. Astrid put her index finger on Hiccup's forhead and slid it down his nose. She could see he enjoyed it.
"Mhh. Good morning, Milady."
"Slept well?" Astrid asked him.
"Oh, with you beside me, always." Hiccup said gently, and Astrid giggled at it.
"What? Was it corny or?" Hiccup chuckled.
"Probably. Nice, though." She said and snuggled closer to his chest.
"I wished we could stay here like that the whole day." Astrid whispered after a while.
"Yeah, me, too." Hiccup said, noticing that something's wrong with his beloved.
"Hey, what's wrong? You can talk to me."
"I don't know, Hiccup. It's been five years since my father was banned, but I still have the feeling that he's here. I don't know. Maybe it's just a feeling. A feeling that something bad will happen, but I don't know what. I feel so unsure for days."
"Hey, it's okay. Harald isn't here anymore. He won't hurt you. Trust me, as long as I'm here, I'll make sure that no one does anything to you." Hiccup said, gently caressing her cheek. Astrid smiled at him, knowing he would protect her.
"Thank you, Hiccup. For everything."While these two were sleeping, no one knew which other adventures the time would bring. But, they were ready.
