"SISTER LILY!" I heard Asta yell. Same speech again today, I'm assuming? How annoying. It's like he hasn't given up on Sister Lily yet, so it looks like I'll be hearing the same speech for the next ten years.
Saliva sprayed out of his mouth uncontrollably, "I'll become Magic Emperor one day, and give you a blissful life!" He said, causing Sister Lily to smile at him.
I know she's smiling because it's funny. Like, who wouldn't smile at Asta doing the same dumb thing.. over and over again? "So please, marry me!" Asta yelled out loud, and I swear the whole village could hear such a thing.
Sister Lily seemed a little nonchalant about it, "Sorry, Asta." She apologized as I turned the corner, sitting down on a log by the fence as I watched the fight in a clearer angle.
I sighed, "Asta, Sister Lily is a nun devoted to public service!" I said, enjoying the scene. He seemed full of energy, having the nerves to now near Sister Lily's face. "It's not over yet!" He yelled, full of determination.
Sister Lily yelled in shock, but then smiled at Asta. Asta then backed away, bowing as if he was folding himself into two.
"I'm not giving up!" He yelled, now getting onto all fours. "Well.." Sister Lily trailed off nervously. It was like she knew that all eyes were on them. "It's not over yet!" Asta yelled even louder than before, crashing his head into the floor harshly.
Sister Lily bowed, "I'm really sorry!" She said, feeling bad for my clingy foster brother. But when he continued.. I guess her patience snapped.
"Sister Lily, give me one more chance!" He begged, just as Sister Lily's grimoire started glowing a beautiful shade of blue. She's going to cast a spell on him, isn't she? Well deserved, anyway. "Stop it!" She yelled out, raising her hand in the air.
Water formed at the top, soon turning itself to a fist made out of water. "Water Creation Magic!" Sister Lily started, causing Asta to look up as I stood up from the log.
"Holy Fist of Love!" She yelled out, causing me to react quickly and send some light towards her spell. Surprisingly, it was able to block the spell before it even was able to hit Asta. When Sister Lily saw what she could've done, she ran to Asta.
Bowing, she frowned at herself. "I'm sorry, Asta!" She said. Seemingly disappointed with herself, she looked down at Asta, who didn't get up from the puddle of water.
Recca and Nash showed themselves, frowns on their faces as they looked at me. "Aww, (Y/n)!" She said, nearing me as they looked at Sister Lily and Asta. "You could've let Sister Lily hit him!" Recca said, crossing her arms.
"I didn't mean to," Sister Lily said in a panic. Asta seemed like he didn't have a plan to get up, he just laid there, lifeless.
I then sat down on the fence, now seeing Asta jump so high. It seemed like he was going to jump on Sister Lily. I then saw him being smashed back down, courtesy of my older brother, of course. Yuno, the one hailed as the hope of the church.
Practices pretty much everyday until almost night. I can imagine how hard that blast was.. I looked at him, and his hand rested on Aruru's head.
"How many rejections will it take before you get it?" Nash asked in a sullen, no, horrified tone. He looked at Asta, and it was obvious that he was bored. Asta then looked at the both of us, frowning at the both of us.
He pouted, "Why are you getting in my way too, Yuno, (Y/n)?" He asked, and my brother put a hand on his chin, faking that he was thinking deeply.
Not that hard to think about the things Asta have, but aren't appealing to women. One look at him, I doubt he'll even get married to someone of high status. "It's because you're loud, short, can't stay still, and have no tolerance." My brother stated, and Asta groaned.
It probably felt like arrows piercing his skin, especially since its coming from my brother. "You don't possess any qualities that appeal to women." He said.
Asta's eyes went white, and his knuckles did too. His hands were turned into fists as he frowned deeply, "Is that what you say to someone that you spend fifteen years growing up with!?" Asta asked, looking at my brother angrily.
Let me guess, "You shameless jerk!" Yeah, I was right. He calls my brother that a lot, and I've seen the monstrosity he's written in his diary.
I looked at my brother, who offered a hand to Sister Lily. "Allow me to help." Yuno said, causing me to stand up and walk over to my brother and Sister Lily. "Thank you!" Sister Lily said, giving me the second basket while my brother took the first basket.
I used my Light Magic to pick the slightly wet clothes up, spinning it in my magic and imitating a dryer with my magic easily.
"Don't ignore me!" Asta said, causing me to look at him while I was spinning the clothes. Huh, looking at him, I forgot that he doesn't have magic to protect himself. My brother and I already got our magic a few years ago, and he still hasn't gotten his own magic.
Yuno then turned to look at Asta nonchalantly, "Asta, nuns are women of the cloth and cannot marry." He explained.
Neither can fifteen-year-old boys like Asta. "Quit yapping!" Asta said, frowning as he looked down at the ground. He seemed sullen and disappointed that he couldn't marry the woman of his dreams.
"I can't stand you two." He said, growling like a dog. Gosh, this is what my foster brother became after not getting magic. He's probably going to wander into the forest like a wild animal!
He then proceeded to challenge us two into a fist fight, which he would probably lose. His limbs are small, so its probably going to be an easy win for the opponent. "It'll be a waste of time, Asta. Don't bother." I said, sitting down on a stool and folding the dried clothes.
Asta looked at me angrily, "What did you say?" He asked, causing me to roll my eyes as I continued to fold the clothes.
"Just drop it, Asta!" Nash said, summoning a small ball of fire to boil some water. "How could you possibly win against them?" Nash said, looking at Asta and using the chance to be as honest as he can. "Watch me!" Asta said, fire in his eyes.
Asta then walked over to me, wanting to attack me. "Because, Asta, you don't have magic." Nash said, watching him try to summon magic.
I sighed, continuing to fold the many clothes. I always wondered why Nash seemed like he hated Asta for not having any magical power. Whatever, I guess he'll improve over time. I think Asta is just a late boy.

"Those children are the hope of this church!" Father Orsi cried out, tears streaming down his face as he opened the old, creaky doors of the church.
I looked at Asta, who was sitting on the dirt. He seemed hopeless, really. It seems like all his dreams has been crushed in one blow. "Getting into the Magic Knights that serve the Magic Emperor isn't just a pipe dream for him." Nash said.
I watched as Sister Lily made her way to Asta. "The awarding ceremony is coming up. Once you get a grimoire, it'll probably awaken the magic in you!" She assured him.
"S-sister Lily!" Asta said, eyes watering as he cried. "I'm just guessing." Sister Lily said, a smile plastered on her face. Asta then looked at the big demon skull. "I'll be getting a grimoire soon." Asta said, smiling.
Right, the Grimoire Ceremony. I heard that we get it in a big tower. There are also different types of grimoires.. a three-leaf, a four-leaf, and a five-leaf.
The three-leaf is the most basic one, given to most people. It represents faith, hope, and love. As for the four-leaf, it's mostly associated with luck, and it is also quite rare. For the five-leaf clover, in the grimoire resides a demon.
