YOU WATCHED as childe spared with traveler. the sight might be nerve-racking and hard to watch for some people, but to you, it was alluring. his movements and reflexes were hypnotic. you could not get my eyes off of him. you always thought, ' do i like him ? ' maybe it was a crush. maybe it was admiration.
you never knew. but one thing was for sure clear, childe was charming. though his looks may not skyrocket the chart of ratings, his personality and charming tactics were sure enough to make you fall for him, not that you already weren't. the fact that hes an outgoing, family friendly and easy to get along with- type of dude made it all better.
you got so caught up in your daydream that you didnt realize the spar was over. despite losing, childe still grinned. traveler had already left. it was only you and childe left. the sun began to set, as stars start to pour out into the sky like water.
childe handed you a water bottle, for what reason is still unknown. you took the bottle, thanking him. while doing so, your hand accidentally touched his. the small brush was enough to make you blush just a little. luckily, childe didnt notice, or care.
" your spar was really amazing childe ! your so good at fighting... " you told him, eyes sparkling with admiration. childe chuckled. " thanks girlie, it was fun as well. i just know, im definitely going to beat traveler the next time we spar. "
you doubted that, but still believed in childe nonetheless. you laid down on the grass, staring up into the sky. childe sat down next to you, mimicking your actions. for the rest of the night, you two pointed out constellations in the sky, even making out a whale constellation that childe seemed to find.
moments like these were tranquil. you wished they never ended. sadly, all good things must come to an end.

you walked down the busy streets of liyue, a bag of sweets in your hands. you looked all around, noticing each and every detail liyue had to offer. even the finest of details didnt go unnoticed by your eyes. liyue's architecture design was something you really liked about the region.
as you passed by, you heard some grunts and metal clashing just around the corner. curious, you turned and saw a faint silhouette of two people fighting, or sparring.
as you got closer, you realized it was childe. your face lit up as you saw him, but it turned into a horrified expression as you realized who he was fighting.
childe, the childe you knew, was fighting the traveler in a way it wasnt just a spar. now you knew what it meant when he was definitely going to beat the traveler. in a mix of panic and confusion, you dropped your bag of sweets and hurried over to the travelers side, who had just fallen.
" ohohoh who do we have here? y/n? did you come to see my amazing win against the traveler? " childe said, his voice laced with bad intentions.
you held onto the traveler's shoulders, a worried frown plastered on your face. the traveler had multiple cuts and scars, and some were still bleeding. you spoke, voice trembling as you asked,
" what are you doing childe...are you trying to hurt the traveler..?! " you semi-yelled. childe, who was already in his foul legacy form, chuckled menacingly.
" oh my dear y/n, there is still so much you dont know...now then, how about you fight me instead. " before you could say anything back, childe lunged at you, bow-sword in hand.
you quickly dodged, barely evading the attack and getting a cut on your cheek. you hesitantly took out your [ weapon ] and held it shakily in your hands.
" p-please dont do this...i- " childe yet again cut you off with a more quicker and harder blow. you crashed into the stone wall, coughing out the crimson red liquid you feared to see.
for the last time, you looked at childe with pleading eyes. you mouthed some incoherent words before childe plunged his weapon deep in your abdomen.
your eyes widened and your pupils dilated. everything seemed to go in slow motion as the red liquid spilled out of your throat, and onto the grass.
you laid on the floor, red staining the grass, eyes with hardly any shine. you looked at childe, and he looked back.
there was no remorse in his eyes, just pure satisfaction.
you closed your eyes, taking a rest as childe let you to rot on the ground.
how ironic...it was traveler he was aiming for, but now its you whos on the verge of death now.
