"I'm sure he's safe, Yang," Mae-ok reassured him before standing up worriedly. "How are we going to deal with a herd of evil spirits?

"What's he going to do with all those evil spirits?" Mo-tak asked. Yang scoffed and rolled his eyes at the question. "Are they going to rob a bank?"

"Anything and everything," Mae-ok answered. "Once they get together, there will be bloodbaths everywhere.

"Wait a second," Ha-na's eyes widened. She paused for a moment, before looking at Yang. "The place where I spotted the spirits. It was Mun's neighbourhood." Yang paled, pressing a hand to his mouth as he stared at Ha-na. "What Yang said earlier... if Ji Cheong-sin had been after us..."

"I was right, I knew it," Yang muttered to himself, not wasting any time in getting up and struggling to put his jacket on as his heart thumped in his chest. "He's not a Counter anymore, he can't fight back! He doesn't have any memories of the spirits either, so he's probably really fucking confused. Oh, no."

They went out to the car, but Yang froze when he had an incoming call. "Mun's calling." The Counters surrounded him as he picked it up, putting the video call on the table.

The video showed someone with a bag over their head, arms tied with rope to the ceiling and forcing him to stand, despite him being obviously weak and disoriented. The bag was taking off his head, revealing Mun's beat up face. Yang gasped, blinking quickly as he watched the video.

Mun's eyes widened in fear as Cheong-sin came into the screen, grabbing Mun's hair and turning to address the camera.

"Ji Cheong-sin..." Ha-na whispered.

"Where are you?" Yang demanded, forcing his voice not to tremble with anger and fear. "Where are you, you asshole?!"

"Hyung," Mun panted as Cheong-sin walked off.

The woman from the department store walked up behind Mun, waving to them with a smile and giggle. "Hey."

"That's the crazy bitch from the department store," Mo-tak realized.

"Mun, where are you?" Ha-na asked. "Tell us where you are! We'll be there!"

"No, don't come," He told them. "You can't come here."

"Your camaraderie makes me cry," Hyang-hee told Mun. She turned to the camera. "Anyway, what happened to this kid? I read him, and he's an idiot now. He has no power nor any physical strength." She bent one of Mun's fingers back, a loud crack being heard as Mun yelled out in pain. Yang looked away and closed his eyes tightly, putting a hand over his mouth.

"Ahjussi, hyung, don't come here," Mun cried. "You'll all die if you do. Don't come! Don't come..." Cheong-sin entered the screen again, punching Mun in the stomach.

Cheong-sin grabbed the camera, filming himself with Mun. "Derelict factory in Jungjin, 9PM. He'll lose a finger for every minute you're late." The call was cut off.

Yang was the first one out the door, grabbing Mo-tak's keys, despite his inability to drive. He had never learnt how to drive, but he was desperate to get to Mun. As the others followed the Australian, he turned and threw the keys at Mo-tak, who caught them with ease.

"Evil spirits can read memories?" Mo-tak questioned.

"Yes," Ha-na answered as everyone climbed into the car. "I'm sure they read everything about our team, so they probably know the type of power each of us has."

"How would they be able to know that stuff if Mun doesn't remember us?" Yang asked, climbing in next to Ha-na. Mo-tak glanced at him in the rearview mirror but didn't reply, turning his attention to the road as he started the car.
