"Can you stop tapping my desk with your pencil," I harshly whispered at Stiles, pushing his hand away from my desk. "That is the most annoying sound."
His eyes widened and he put his hands up in defence. "Someone didn't get their beauty sleep," he muttered.
He was right. I barely slept at all last night after I woke up suddenly, thinking I heard a wolfs howl. Then this morning, I managed to spill coffee all over my outfit and only had time to change into jeans, a cropped black shirt, and heeled boots before Stiles dragged me out of the house to school.
Stiles turned back to Scott, tapping his pencil on his shoulder as our teacher started handing back out tests. "If Derek isn't the Alpha, if he's not the one who bit you, then who did?"
"That's our problem, Einstein," I said, leaning closer to them. "We have no idea."
Stiles rubbed his hand down his face. "Did the Alpha kill the bus driver?"
"I don't know," Scott answered without looking back.
Stiles sat back in his seat, sighing as I rolled my eyes at him. "Does Allison's dad know about the—"
"I don't know!" Scott yelled, turning around in his seat as the whole class turned to us and I stifled a laugh.
"Are you trying to piss him off?" I muttered to Stiles, taking my test back from my teacher before she handed Stiles his. "An A," I mused, proud with my result. "What did you guys get?" I asked Stiles and Scott, facing them.
"An A again," Stiles said proudly, holding it up to me as I laughed at his goofy expression.
My laugh quieted down when I looked to Scott, seeing the D- and a note at the top of his paper.
"Dude, you need to study more," Stiles said and I slapped him on the back of the head. "Ow! You're gonna make me bald there! That was joke. Scott, it's one test. You're gonna make it up."
I rolled my eyes, leaning closer to Scott. "You know if you need, I can help you study."
"No," Scott declined my offer. "I'm studying with Allison after school today."
I smiled and Stiles raised his brows with an amused look. "That's my boy," he said happily.
"We're just studying," Scott said and I rolled my eyes, leaning back in my seat.
"No, you're not," I laughed, and Stiles eagerly nodded his head
Scott turned around, looking at the both of us with a confused look. "No, I'm not?"
"Not if I'm forced to live vicariously through you," Stiles said and I sent him a grossed-out look. "If you go to her house today and squander that colossal opportunity, I swear to God, I'll have you de-balled."
"Okay!" Scott said, widening his eyes. "Just stop with the questions, man."
"Done," Stiles said, throwing up his hands. "No more questions. No more talk about the Alpha or Derek. Especially Derek, who still scares me." I snorted and he turned to me. "Is that like a Hale thing? The whole 'I enjoy scaring people' personality?"
"I don't scare people!" I quietly exclaimed and they both raised a brow with a pointed look. "I hate you both," I grumbled, sinking further in my chair.
"I still have my chemistry homework to do," I reminded Stiles, walking out of school with him. "Then I have my English and not to mention my history."
"You take schooling to seriously, nerd," he teased, pulling his keys out of his pocket.
