"So, how long do you need to take those for?" Allison asked me, the two of us walking to the library to secretly meet up with Scott.

I tilted my head back, swallowing my meds dry. "Probably the rest of my life which is forever," I said, shrugging my shoulders. "They do help though. I actually got to have a full night's sleep last night."

"Oh, that's good?" She sent me an uneasy smile. "I'm sorry, I'm just not sure what to say."

I lightly laughed, pushing open the library doors. "It's fine, trust me. Let's just see Scott and the idiot."

"You and the idiot still haven't gotten back on good terms?" she hesitantly asked.

I nodded, walking past a few rows of books. "Like I said the other day, I can't wait much longer and now I'm not waiting at all."

"Well, I'm here if you ever need to talk." She gave me a smile that I returned, walking down a row of books.

I pulled out a few books on the shelf, revealing Scott and the idiot already looking at us. Allison quickly pulled a tablet out of her bag and slipped it through the shelves as I randomly put the books above us.

"It's everything Lydia could translate," Allison informed them in a hushed tone. "And trust me, she was very confused."

"Yeah, what's you tell her?" Scott asked, looking at us.

"That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures," Allison said with a smile as I snorted. That was one way to describe our lives.

"I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures," Stiles said, way too seriously. Wait, he was actually serious.

The three of us shared a look and then looked back at him. "Well, that explains a lot," I mumbled.

"Okay, does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" Scott asked, looking down at the tablet.

"Not really," Allison answered. "But Stiles was right about the murderers."

"Yes!" Stiles cheered and I rolled my eyes.

"It calls the Kanima a weapon of vengeance," I said, leaning against the bookshelf. "There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderers in his village."

"All right, see?" Stiles said, nodding his head. "So maybe it's not all that bad."

"Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever her wanted it to," I added on, throwing him an annoyed look.

"All bad, all very, very bad," Stiles mumbled, looking down at the tablet.

Allison grabbed herself a book and then passed me one that I flipped open to a random page. "Here's the thing, though," she started. "The Kanima's actually supposed to be a werewolf. But it can't be..." she quickly stopped herself when a librarian put a book away at the end of the row.
