Chapter 24-Mike's Pov Mother's Day Pt.2

There she was this is my chance I said to myself well locking eyes with Zanobia.

I began to walk over to her and before I knew it I was greeted with her saying a shaky Hi to me sounding like she was nervous.

"Happy Mother's Day Zanobia."I said with a bright smile looking into her eyes.

"Thanks..."She said trailing off looking at Joliet.

"So I was wonde..."Before I could finish Joliet cut me off.

"Y'all just got talk already before its time to eat y'all got 20 minutes Now go!"She said literally pushing us out the kitchen.

We walked outside to the front instead to the backyard since there was so many people back there it would be better up here.

"Zanobia I am very sorry about what i did a couple months ago and..."

"Look Mike I know you are...I knew you were along time by the letters long texts inviting me to lunch everyday for a month straight...I guess I just wasn't ready yet to explain my situation and let you in so easily but since I have had plenty of time to think about all that has happen...Mike what I am basically trying to say is can we just start over?"She said looking down at the ground.

I put my hand under her chin to lift her face up so I could have her undivided attention.

Before I knew it my lips became in contact of hers.

We were standing there for a good 5 minutes in a full blown make out session before we heard my mother screaming out the door and saw my sister megan peeking out behind her.

"If y'all don't stop all that and come in this house dinner is about to be ready!"She screamed out while closing the door.

"And Megan if you don't get yo ass in this house and stop being nosy!"My ma said smacking Megan upside the head.

"But Ma you were the one looking at the window!"She said back.

"Girl Shush your mouth I was doing nothing of the sort!"Megan said back causing me to shake my head.

Zanobia pulled away and I could tell she was embarrassed.

"I hoped that answered your question." I said while taking her hand and guiding her in the house to the dinning room.

We sat right next to each other at the table.

All during dinner Zanobia kept shaking her leg like she was nervous so to calm her down I put my hand on her thigh.

When I did that she looked at me shyly.

"What are you doing?"She whispered screamed to me.

"Nothing just trying to calm you down baby."I winked at her causing her to blush.

"So Mike how has everything been going at the company?"My dad Mike Sr. asked me.

"Everything is fine popz."I said biting into my last piece of chicken.

"What about your love life how is that going?"My mom Sara asked me looking at me and Zanobia.

I looked over to Zanobia to see her cheeks get darker than they were earlier.

"Ma I don't really feel like talking about it right now."I said getting irritated.

"Ma it seems he just might have found somebody who can put up with his rude ass."Megan said while cutting into her chicken.

"If you don't watch your mouth girl you may be a grown woman but I can sure tear your ass up like your not."My mom said staring Megan down.

"Anyways Zanobia are you up to go on a ladies only day tomorrow at the spa?"Joliet asked.

"Joliet I don't know I have to see if I can get a babysitter."She said staring down at her food still.

"Oh I will watch him don't worry have your fun."I said while playing over my peas and looking at Zanobia.

"You don.."Zanobia started to say.

"No I will love to spend some time with my partner in crime and I'm sure he would like to spend some time with me ain't that right Zeek?"I said looking over to Zeek smiling.

"OOOOO MOOMMMY CCAANNN III PWWEASSSEE GO TO DADDY HOUSE TOMORROW?!"He asked Zanobia with puppy dog eyes.

Zanobia looked a little uncomfortable after he said that but said yes.

"So you have a son now?"Jermaine asked me for the first time in a year.

Every since the incident with Regina which was a year ago we have not spoken to each today would be the first.

"Yes...Yes I do why do you care?"I asked nonchalantly.

"I just asked I mean never seen him before around here."He said to a merely a whisper.

"Well if you were around more often instead being in the streets like the male whore you are you would know."I said getting angry from thinking about the stuff he did.

"Man what the fuck you just say?!"He got up in rage.

I have been waiting for the day to beat this bitch ass!

If it wasn't for Zanobia holding me down I would have probably jumped over this table and bet the shit out of this bitch made nigga.
