Chapter 6- Zanobia's POV

2 weeks later

Me and Zeek have been moving from Shelter to Shelter and it has been really hard trying to keep up with our things while im at work and Zeek at school.

But going from space to space it has not been all bad i have met another girl named Amber that came from the same situation as me and if feels so good to have to someone to talk to.

Work has been great these past weeks, I'm so excited i get my first paycheck in 2 days.

Metioning work i have to be there in 10mins and i have to find a place to put me and Zeeks stuff.

I rushed into the Building greeting Ms.Mabel she is so kind she is the only one that really knows my sistuation she is like a mother i never had.

Deciding to take the stairs instead of the elevator was a mistake now im out of breath just great.

Finnally making it to my office trying to stuff all of my things in my little office closet before Mr.Valentino comes in.

Just as I was stuffing Zeek's Toy bag in there i heard a deep voice knowing it was Mr.Valentino I turned around with a Big Smile "Good Morning Mr.Valentino."I said.

"Good Morning Ms.Palmer, How are you this Morning?"He asked.

"I'm Fine, and you?"I asked.

"I'm good, Are you ready for the meeting this morning with Starbucks?"He asked.

"Yes, Sir?" I said.

"Yes?"He said.

"Well i was going over some documents and i was just seeing how much profits the comapany made this past year and the year before and something looks off, the company we usually do bussiness with Bakers Co. and it seems like they have not been paying their monthly due."I said.

"I think you really need to look into that because that really can't be good for bussiness."I said.

"I definitely will check into it...We can look over it during lunch after the meeting."He said getting up to leave.

After the Meeting...

it was now 5:00pm the meeting lasted longer than what we planned it to and now i am super late getting Zeek.

Rushing out of the office hearing my name getting called "Zanobia!!"Mr.Valentino yelled.l

I slowed down and looked back trying to catch my breath"Yes Sir?"I asked.

"Sorry we didnt get to make it to lunch what about dinner tonight at 7?"He asked.

"Sorry Mr.Valentino I'm kind of in a rush maybe we can do lunch tomorrow?"I ask.

"Sure Have a Good Night!"He said.

I rushed out the building running to Zeek Daycare.

Rushing into the building seeing zeek sound asleep on the chair picking him up.

"I'm So sorry Ms.Cambell i just got caught up in a meeting and.."i was trying to explain but got cut off.

"That's ok dear just make sure it does not happen again."She said.

SHIT! Just relizing I left all of me and Zeek things in my office closet.

I will just have to wait a little later until everyone is gone before i go back.

Going into a near by McDonalds, Ordering Me and Zeek dinner.

3 hours later....

Now 9:00 it should be a good time to go back everyone should be gone except the security guards.

Walking back to the building, getting on the elevator going up to the top floor.

Going to my office trying to gather all of me and Zeek's things before he wakes up.

While getting the last of my bags i start hearing noises, I quickly ignore them and keep and try to race my way out of that office.

Right as i was going to get on the Elevator Zeek starts to wake up and move around and starts to cry loud.

"Shhh Mama's Baby we are going to be in bed soon."I said kissing his head.
