The King & Level

"Next person proceed!" The guard infront of the giant white door called out as another one of Rimuru's classmate entered the room.

"Just go before me" Rimuru gave both Benimaru and Souei a light pat on their back.

The two exchanged eye contact before finally agreeing with Rimuru's request to meet the king last with Ririna.

"Well well" Rimuru didn't react to the low voice which echoed in the room, he just close the door behind him "you are more impolite than the last time we met"

Ririna ran from his side toward the man who's sitting on his giant throne "Mister Guy long time no see!" She waved her hand as she run up the stairs and finally reached the red haired man's feet

He scoop her into his hand as he uncross his leg and then put Ririna on one of his thight "it's insolent to run like that toward the king, but i will let it slide"

"Oh off with it, you're happy she sprinted to you like that" Rimuru retorded as he take one of hundreds of seat in the room and climb up the little stairs. He put his chair right next to Guy's throne.

"I believe since i'm the mastermind i get to ask more questions right?" Rimuru rest his face on his clunched hand while he glanced at Guy without moving his head even a little

"Ask away"

Rimuru can feel his face might start to twist into an arrogant grin just like Shogo's, but he managed to only smirked a little "okay then! Now mind telling me more about the secret from the demon lord you told me back then?"

He remember it crystal clear, back a few years ago Guy had decided to raid a dungeon not so far from their resident, and by fate they crossed path along with a heavy rain causing the three unable to go home.

They chatted and at some point the talk about demon lord just spawned out of nowhere and Guy decided to tell them that he is indeed a human who fought the demon lord along side the hero years ago.

"I wonder... Is there any reason why the demon lord just suddenly kill everyone?" Rimuru questioned. Guy stayed silent for a second before he start to ruffle his shoulder lenght hair.

"Hey stop it!" He's cut off by a single short sentence escaping Guy's mouth.

"There is."

Rimuru stopped caring about his hair "what??"

But instead of an answer he hear Guy's laught echoing through the dari dungeon maze "i will tell you once you prove something to me, for now stay curious brats"

"Oh yeah that" Guy hold his chin with his hand and stayed silent for a minute while Ririna and Rimuru are staring at him without blinking "nah you isn't worthy enough"

Rimuru almost fell from his chair "you did that on purpose didn't you?!" Guy didn't bother to response

Rimuru massage his temple as he got back to his original sitting position "alright then, how about this, why can't anyone reach level 100? Why stop the system on level 99?"

"Because only the demon lord and the star King dragon are ever strong enough to reach level 100" Guy's tone changed almost instantly.

Rimuru lifted his head a bit by reflects with Ririna doing exactly the same. A grin appeared on Guy's face as he saw the Tempest siblings "curious?"

"Yes!" Rimuru jumped off his seat as he lean closer to Guy, Ririna once again did the exact same thing "one brain two bodies huh?"

"Just get to the point would you?" Guy chuckled once more, he clear his throat once he realized Rimuru's hand are already formed a fist with some of his veins popping out.

"Cut story short, before the level system are made we used EP to determine an individual's strength, for example 1 to 100 Ep can be considered as level 1, 200 to 400 level 2 and so on" Guy lift his hand right in front of Rimuru's face with two of his fingers pointing out "to reach level 100 you need 200 million EP, and this far only two beings can be considered as level 100"

Guy's grin grew wider as he put down his middle finger "the star king dragon" He put down his pointy finger "and the demon lord"

He was expecting any other reaction from Rimuru but him suddenly sulking in his seat "i just told you an ancient knowledge, other people would be happy to hear this"

'How the hell am i supposed to be happy?! My hard work just went down the drain!'

Rimuru quickly repair his sitting position "so if we're using the EP system, what are my score?"

"Barely 150 million" And his head are down once again.

This time Guy didn't bother to say anything more to Rimuru and turned to his sister instead "now what's your question?"

"Did the demon lord actually had silver hair?" Rimuru lifted his head almost immediately hearing her question.

'Ah i did told her to never hear what others say, but it really isn't that easy huh?'

Guy put his hand on top of Ririna's head and let it rest there "no and yes, at first it looked almost exacly like your brother's" The sudden stare from the two caused Rimuru to flinch "but after the whole massacre blood stained his hair, no matter how much the rain tried to wash it away the crimson blood still stayed in his hair turning his hair to really light pink"

"Did you just throw a pun there?" Rimuru quickly covered his mouth since he wasn't planning to let those comment escape his mouth.

"Pun?" Guy questioned

Rimuru waves his hands "nothing!" He coughed a few times to calm himself down "anyway, since the demon lord are the strongest being not including the creator of this world himself, how did you all defeated him?"

"Achieve something else before asking anything."

Rimuru roll his eyes "Woah really motivational and useful words, how grateful i am to have you as a king"

'This dude are really trying to use me for something, but what tho?'
