And Dream said to Death "You take a human soul away from his body but I take care of the living in the waking world. I am the one to dampen their pain with my dreams, I am the one who makes them move on from the suffering"
"You make them live their pain over and over again by showing them dreams of what could have been or nightmares of what it was" Death replied.
"No" Dream stated "I make their pained memory sing a bittersweet song that helps the living cope with the loss. I transform the wound of your passage into scars that will fortify the living. I am your antidote for the living, sister"
