Chapter 9

Hayes's POV

I hugged Nash and closed his car door before he pulled out of the drive way to head back to college

I waved as they drove off and looked over at Kaitlyn, she looked sad they were leaving. I could tell in her eyes

"Hey it's ok, they'll be back soon" I say hugging her

She smiles and grabs my hand "I just miss the old days with them here all the time."

"I do too" I say

She gasped in realization "don't forget we got some tutoring we have to do" she says tapping my nose

I laugh and follow her inside my house. My books are already on the table so we head over to start.

"What section is it this week?" She asks sitting down next to me

"Well mrs.clark said I've doing a lot better with my homework and grades so she said just do section 23 and I'll be good!" I say with excitement

"That's awesome Hayes!" Kaitlyn says smiling really wide

I open my book to the section and begin working on my homework

Our tutoring sessions consist of laughing, arguing, and me sighing a lot because I don't get the work

"Hayes come on just type this into your calculator" Kaitlyn says shoving the calculator in my face

I sigh and lay my face in my book "but I don't wanna!" I let out

"Hayes please, your almost done" Kaitlyn whines

I look up and notice my ring on Kaitlyn's hand. If I can distract her enough I won't have to work on this math

I smirk and grab Kaitlyn's hand with the ring and kiss it

"What was that for?" She asks with a confused look on her face

I see her blush through the confusion and go in to kiss her

In the middle of the kiss Kaitlyn pulls away and chuckles "Hayes stop it I know what your trying to do"

"What?" I ask laughing and trying to kiss her again

Before I can she puts her hands out to stop me

"Work first, kiss later" she smiles at me

I wink at her and grab the calculator from the table and finish my work

*School the next day*

"Hayes you have done such a great job on your homework lately!" My teacher said in awe starring at my homework

"Thank you, I've had a nice helper" I look over at Kaitlyn and wink

I see her blush and go back to the book she was reading

"Ok class we have a few more minutes left of class. You may talk quietly to one another" my teacher says before sitting down at her desk

I lean over to Kaitlyn and close her book on her desk

"Hayes! I don't know what page I was on" Kaitlyn pouted

"Don't worry I know, page 104." I smile

Kaitlyn gives me a small smile and shifts in her seat so she's facing me

"Need something sir?" She asks resting her head on her hands

I nod "would you like to go to cherry berry with me tonight?" I ask politely

"Don't you have football practice though?" She asks

"Yea so we could go after, what do you say?" I smile wide

Kaitlyn nods and picks her book back up. Before she starts reading again she glances back over at me

"I'll even pick you up in my car. Look cute after practice" she winks at me

Oh my, this girl has me around her finger

Kaitlyn's POV

I watch the clock in my cherry red convertible waiting for Hayes to come out from practice

He gets let out at 5 and it must take him a while to get his stuff because the clock reads 5:13

I start to panic thinking he already left for home and forgot about tonight

Just as I was about to grab my phone to text him I see in the distance him coming out of the football stadium

I sigh in relief and plug my phone into the aux cord

The first song that came on was "it wasn't me" by shaggy. I start singing along and padding my steering wheel to the beat

I'm so focused into the song I forgot Hayes was walking towards the car. When he got next to the car I noticed him chuckling

I blush and unlock the door, "hey sorry, I really like this song" I say laughing too

"It's ok, I like it too" Hayes says turning it up

"But she caught me the shower! Wasn't me. She saw me bangin on the sofa! Wasn't me" Hayes sang loudly to the lyrics

I started laughing and pulled out of the schools parking lot

"So how was practice?" I asked putting my sunglasses on

Hayes did the same and answered "it was ok, I've just been waiting all day for this"

I smiled "makes me feel special grier" I said pulling into Cherry Berry.

Hayes winked and once I parked he jumped around the car and opened my door for me

I thanked him and walked in holding Hayes hand

We walked over the wall with the yogurt and scanned all the flavors. Hayes went crazy and put 5 different flavors in his cup

I went simple with two and checked out the toppings, I thought bobas were good and put my yogurt on the scale. Hayes did the same and gave the money to the cashier

"Thank you Hayes" I said sitting down in an booth

"Your welcome" Hayes smiled

We sat and talked about school eating our yogurt

In the middle of Hayes talking I looked up and saw Vanessa walk in. She had the same bitchy look on her face as always

She walked in with a boy who looked to be 18 and was trying way too hard to be cool around her.

He had a leather jacket on with black tight ripped jeans, tight blue v-neck, big square framed glasses and his black hair was placed perfectly on his head.

I will admit this guy she was with had the looks that made me stop and stare and forget Hayes was right in front of me

I can't tell you what Hayes was talking about because I was too focused on this new guy wrapped around satans arm.

He gave me a quick glance and winked before turning back to Vanessa. My heart stopped and I didn't know what to think of it.

I was cut out of my drooling when Hayes snapped his fingers in my face

"Kaitlyn?" Hayes laughed "you ok? You zoned out a bit"

I blinked my eyes trying to refocus and laughed
"Sorry it's just Satan walked in and I was trying to figure out what she was wearing"

Hayes spun around in the booth to see what I was talking about
"Hideous right? So last season" he said flipping his wrist like a girl

I laughed and said "let's get out of here, it's been infested"

I grabbed Hayes hand and used the other with my yogurt and we left Cherry Berry but before I could I looked over my shoulder one last time at the mystery man and to my surprise he was looking too.

Woahhhhhh, 2 years later and finally got chapter 9 out. I remembered this app and thought well I'm bored here's a new chapter.
