Scott stepped back and evaluated the barricade.

"I think it will hold" he finally sighed. The three kids who had been helping nodded

"Why the H*** are there zombie's" The blond one shouted.

"That's a really good question" Melissa asked.

Scott sighed again. He honestly had no idea how to answer either of them. He had no idea how to even begin to explain this night. The truth was he was exhausted and this whole place...made Beacon Hills look normal.

"Have you been outside since you got here mom?" he finally asked.

"I haven't." she reached out to grasp his arm nervously. "I was at home and then suddenly I was at work... in an unfamiliar hospital, but there were injured people, and everyone seemed lost and there are me and two other nurses and one doctor in this ER so..." She shrugged "Oh and talking possums."

"Talking possums?" Allison echoed to his left

"Well when they aren't trying to kill each other or playing dead."

"Right." Scott managed

"I had to bandage one of their tails."

"Were you able to get the hospital to lock down?"

"No... but that may be more of a lack of personnel issue than... we did lock all the entrances to the ER though."

"That's good." he looked around the waiting room. The three boys were huddled in the corner discussing the situation obviously. The tall young police officer looked completely overwelmed as he was attempting to calm several terrifed people and a old woman dressed as an eskimo sat quietly in the corner watching him closely. "Even without the zombies there is a lot of weird out there tonight." he finally told his mom with another sigh.

"I noticed... A lot of strange animal bites coming in too."

Scott cringed slightly, hoping they weren't anything transformative.

"Important question..." Allison said "We're locked in here... how are we set up for food?"

"Not good." Melissa shook her head. "water's not problem, for a while at least, but other than the snack room and the staff break room... "

"Right." Scott frowned. "What did Stiles say? Can we expect any help from him?"

"I doubt it... he was trapped in a warehouse." Allison shook her head "He was going on about dragons and ... Spiderman."

"Yeah, that sounds like Stiles." Melissa said with amused fondness,

"Are we sure he was ok?"

"I mean..." Allison smiled "He sounded like Stiles"

"The next question is if Stiles is here... who else is?" Melissa asked

"I could try calling the others."

"Do you have a charger on you?" Allison held out the phone "It's at 5%"

"No"
"i don't even have a phone on me" Melissa said.

"Me either" Allison held out her empty hands.

"I know one other way to find out... but it might make people... nervous." Scott bit his lip.

"We're locked in a hospital with a horde of zombies outside..."Allison said "I think people are already nervous."

"Right. Mom... where is the intercom room."

Kira sighed and sank further back into the corner. Sara and Alissa sat near her, both dozing. Guy paced anxiously and Tasha had snapped at him repeatedly to stop it from the other side of the room where she was trying to sleep as well. The dragon snored in the center of the room while the two vampires and the android kept watch. Kira wanted to be sleeping, but she was to restless. There was just so much about all of this that was to strange and it would help if there was anyone else she knew to sort it out with her.
