The rest of the boys waited outside, as I sat patiently to get some more info from the doctors.. Jimmy was with me as well, but he had went to use the restroom a few seconds ago.

As I sat with Cheddar, the doctor came in to give us an update on his condition. "Luckily, Bob, it looks like the bullet didn't hit anything major. You've got a clean shot through the fleshy part of your thigh. You'll be sore for a while, but with some rest and care, you should heal up fine," the doctor explained.

Cheddar let out a sigh of relief, his face still contorted with pain. "That's a relief, doc. Thanks," his childlike voice sounded grateful although it strained from the pain.

I nodded along, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. "Yeah, we were worried there for a minute," I admitted, shooting a glance at Cheddar

...So, Cheddar in fact didn't shoot his...Yeah. It was just his leg, he'll be alright, he'll be in a lot of pain still, unfortunately. I'm hoping he'll only be held here for a couple days. He just has to make sure to be careful with walking and everything. It's a relief that everyone's fine...nothing was severely major...Cheddar could have shot his...parts off, or even worse bled out and died...and we wouldn't want that...I wouldn't wish that on anyone as much as Cheddar annoys me, I was actually fine with being there for him these past few hours... Hes thanked me, he's like a little boy but right now it isn't in an annoying way, it's kinda adorable actually. I guess Cheddar isn't all that bad, you know? He's still Cheddar though...

"It looks like he'll be able to be released in a few days and sent home to continue his recovery... it'll be easy as cake, Bob, alright, bud?" The doctor tried cheering him up. "Be glad that you've got this beautiful young lady by your side to help you. With her, it'd make things easier. If I were you—I'm sure it'd help me." The doctor continued to talk, kinda making me furrow my eye brows. I didn't know if he was hinting at something or not, but all I did was kinda chuckle nervously.

The doctor went on about some more things, saying a few other things about me that made me question if he was tryna flirt with me... Well, that isn't very professional, is it? Maybe he's just tryna be a good sport, hopefully.

As he went on, Jimmy came through the doorway, and as the doctor talked, I knew Jimmy caught that the doctor was flirting. Although his facial expressions were pretty unreadable, it looked like his eyes flickered with anger for a minute as he took a glance at me.

"What's goin' on, dawg?" Jimmy said to the doctor, cutting him off.

The doctor gave a smile. "Hey, Smith—I was just updating them on Bob, here."

"What was you talkin' about, how you wished Trish was ya caretaker? What the hell was up with that? The hell does that even mean?" Slight anger simmered in his tone. "She ain't even gon' be the one takin' care of, Cheddar-"
