When we get back to the house, everyone is sitting outside, like nothing happened. Everett bends down to my ear and whispers, "I left a note."
I nod.
"How was your trip?" Allison asks
"Fine." I say, heading inside. Everett follows me. I turn to him, "Should we tell them?"
"When we need to use it...Allison doesn't like it, she'd probably make us put it back. It's a useful tool. We need to keep it a secret."
I put on a glove, and pull the stone from my bag, "Where should we put it?"
"Your room, in the nightstand drawer. It'll be close to you, but not too obvious."
"Ok."
We both walk upstairs. Everett opens the drawer. I put it in. We both walk back downstairs, after I put my bag in the chair in my room. We go outside, to practice.

We are having stew for dinner. Allison has the table set, and we are all heading to our seats. She sets the spot in the center of the table, and we all serve ourselves. "So, how was your date?" Brit asks, I almost choke on stew.
"Fine." Everett answer
"Yeah. It was magical." I change the subject, "How's the training going?"
"Great!" Brit answers in excitement, "We have learned so much. I am pretty sure together, Jaeger and I could take out an army."
"Yeah, she's getting a lot more power with each session." Allison tells me, "And Jaeger learned how to do the water flower."
"Good job," I tell Jaeger.
"It's great, except when I do it, I wear a flower dress, too." Jaeger commentsAfter dinner, I head up to my room. Brit is already in bed. I put on my pajamas, and get in bed, too. She turns to face me, smiling, "So...how was the date?"
"It was fine, now go to sleep."
She lets out an exasperated sigh, "Not until you tell me."
"Fine...we walked by the water at the beach...end of story."
She gives me a look, "Come on...you were gone for the whole day, all you did was walk by the water?" She doesn't believe me. That is easy to see. Too bad.
"Yep," there is no way I am going r o tell her the truth. Because that would mean telling her it was not a date at all, but an attempt on my part to loose my powers, so I could be normal, and not have to start a war for Allison. A war she is going to be in, even though she doesn't realize it, yet.
I have so much in my mind. I am not sure what to think, say, or do. I know I'm not going to get rid of my powers, but I still don't want to start this war. Allison is the one who wants this. I don't want to disappoint her.
