Endings

"∴⍑ᒷリ ∴╎ꖎꖎ ||𝙹⚍ ꖎᒷᔑ∷リ ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ"

I stared at my bloody hands ignoring the Thing standing beside me.

It chuckled.

It Laughed. It had the audacity to laugh at this moment.
I wished I could kill it.
I momentarily dreamt of rapping my hands around its throat strangling it. Or putting a pitch black sword through its stomach, or lacing purple magic throughout its body to slowly tear it apart.

"||𝙹⚍ ∴╎ꖎꖎ リᒷ⍊ᒷ∷ ⊣ᒷℸ ̣ ᔑ∴ᔑ||. ||𝙹⚍ ᓵᔑリ'ℸ ̣. ᔑリ↸ ||𝙹⚍∷ ⎓∷╎ᒷリ↸ᓭ... ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ|| ⋮⚍ᓭℸ ̣ ᒲᔑꖌᒷ ||𝙹⚍ ∴ᒷᔑꖌ"

I could hear the grin in its voice even when to other people it might sound emotionless.

"Don't you DARE insult my friends!" I yelled at it as I gritted my teeth thinking about what had just happened.
I could hear its smirk under the mask as it replied.

"ᔑ⍑? ᒷ⍊ᒷリ ∴⍑ᒷリ ||𝙹⚍ ⋮⚍ᓭℸ ̣ ꖌ╎ꖎꖎᒷ↸ ||𝙹⚍∷ ᓭ𝙹 ᓵᔑꖎꖎᒷ↸ 'ʖᒷᓭℸ ̣ ⎓∷╎ᒷリ↸'? ᒷ⍊ᒷリ ᔑᓭ ||𝙹⚍ ʖᒷℸ ̣ ∷ᔑ||ᒷ↸ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷᒲ?"

I froze.
My breath hitched.
I couldn't stop my eyes from wandering to the ring before me.
The ring of cactus with blood splattered everywhere.
The dead body at my feet.
I choked feeling skin give way and break. The crunch on his bones, the sad smile on his face because he knew what needed to happen.
A tear slid down my face.

It grinned behind its mask feeding off my sadness, anger, helplessness.
I hated It so much.
I turned toward it.
It grinned under its mask.
I wanted so much just to hurt it. Even a little would do.

"∴⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ᔑ∷ᒷ ||𝙹⚍ ⊣𝙹╎リ⊣ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ↸𝙹?"

It asked smugly.

"ꖌ╎ꖎꖎ ᒲᒷ?"

I gritted my teeth and lunged at it.
I reached for its throat.
It disappeared before I got there.
I caught myself before I hit the ground.

"ℸ ̣ ᓭꖌ ℸ ̣ ᓭꖌ ||𝙹⚍ ᓭ⍑𝙹⚍ꖎ↸ ꖌリ𝙹∴ ʖᒷℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ᒷ∷ ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ."

It said as appeared behind me.

"||𝙹⚍ ⚍ᓭᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ʖᒷ ᓭ𝙹 ⊣𝙹𝙹↸."

"You mean I obeyed your every command."
It smiled again.
"You mean I followed you blindly! Killing! Destroying innocent lives!" I yelled at it.

"リ𝙹∴ リ𝙹∴ ̇/ᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ ᓵᔑꖎᒲ ↸𝙹∴リ. ||𝙹⚍∷ ⊣𝙹╎リ⊣ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ⍑⚍∷ℸ ̣ ᓭ𝙹ᒲᒷ𝙹リᒷ."

I snarled at it knowing it had implied it hurting my friends.

"ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ʖᒷℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ᒷ∷? ⊣𝙹𝙹↸ リ𝙹∴ ʖᒷ⍑ᔑ⍊ᒷ ||𝙹⚍∷ᓭᒷꖎ⎓."

It said knowing that I would do anything to stop them from hurting my family.

"╎'ꖎꖎ ꖌ╎ꖎꖎ ||𝙹⚍."

I whisper under my breath.
It scoffed.

"リ𝙹ℸ ̣ ╎リ ᔑ ꖎ𝙹リ⊣ ℸ ̣ ╎ᒲᒷ."

"╎'ꖎꖎ ꖌ╎ꖎꖎ ||𝙹⚍."

I said more firmly.
It smiled once again before flicking its hand.

"╎'ꖎꖎ ᓭᒷᒷ ||𝙹⚍ ᓭ𝙹𝙹リ xᒷꖎᑑ⚍ᔑ."

Then it faded to blackness and pain.

"Oh Xelqua..."

A laugh.

"Your name means The People's Sun."

The blackness flickered slightly.

"It is accurate."
