"Hey Beom, you're going to be 20 this year right?" 

Beomgyu flinched from the sudden question and slowly nodded, placing his drink down onto the table as all his friends' attentions were on him.

"Why?" He asked quietly. 

"Ah well isn't it the age where you present as an alpha?" Yeonjun said, wanting to remind the younger about the 'presenting'.

Beomgyu pressed his lips into a line. "Yea, but how are you sure that i'm an alpha? What if Taehyun could be the alpha?" 

Yeonjun laughed and shook his head. "No way, you're older than him! Of course, you'll be the alpha." Soobin was beside his mate, not saying anything as he saw how uncomfy the younger was.

Beomgyu gave a tight smile and kept sipping his drink.

Let me fill you in.

Beomgyu and Taehyun are in a relationship where both haven't present yet. Present- meaning presenting as an alpha, beta or omega. 

One will present at the age of 20, with or without a partner. If one has a destined partner, then the day they present, will also lead their partner to present. 

In most cases, the ones that are older and taller would present as an alpha while the ones that are smaller and younger would be an omega. 

Now back to Beomgyu.

His friends knew he's in a relationship with Taehyun, who's also a part of their friend group. He's just not with them as he's busy. 

Beomgyu's friends would always keep telling how he would be such a soft alpha when he presents and that he had to muster up courage and stop letting Taehyun protect him. Even his family was pressuring him about it-

"Beomgyu you have to start working on your attitude to be a good alpha." 

"Beomgyu! You need to get good grades to get a good job and take care of Taehyun."

"Beomgyu, why are you not studying?? Instead of eating, start studying."

"Beomgyu, promise me to be a good alpha for Taehyun."

"Beomgyu-"

"Beomgyu!"

"Beomgyuu-"

It's ALWAYS Beomgyu this, Beomgyu that and alpha this, alpha that. He's so damn pissed off with his life right now, even if his birthday was coming up in 2 weeks, he doesn't feel excited. Instead, he felt so pressured. 

He didn't want to be an alpha, he doesn't think he'll be an alpha from the way he is. He's had a conversation about this with Taehyun before, because communication is the key duh. 

"Hey baby you alright?" 

"No.."

"Mhm.. anything you want to say?" 

Beomgyu nodded slowly, sighing deeply. "I feel so.. pissed and done with life at this point. Why does everyone see me as an alpha..? Putting all the responsibility on me- I- i feel so stressed and pressured. Even if i'm not an alpha, I still want to try my best to make them proud." Beomgyu said out shakily, feeling tears welling in his eyes as he clutched onto his pants tightly.
