I apologize for the slow updates on this fanfic.

A good script and dialogue takes time to perfect.

At least I hope that's the case for this.

Hope you enjoy.

Tang stood at the foot of the Great Mountain, its grandeur towering over him, shrouded in mist.

"Holy Buddha, that is one big mountain!" Tang exclaimed, his eyes wide in amazement.

"Though I guess that's why they called it the Great Mountain," He added with a sarcastic chuckle, trying to mask the nervousness in his voice.

He still wasn't sure that he was able to do this mission, but he needed to. Everyone was counting on him."No pressure, right?" He said to himself, rubbing his arm nervously.

With a deep cleansing breath, he began to climb upwards.

The path was steep and treacherous, the rocks slick with dew from the mist that enveloped the mountain.

Carefully, Tang navigated his way up the mountain, until he reached a ledge which overlooked the entire city of Chang'an.

As he gazed out at the city, he saw large amounts of smoke rising from the numerous fires dotting the city below.

A pang of sadness tugged at Tang's heart. "I did this. I caused those demons to invade the city!" He exclaimed sorrowfully, tears welling up in his eyes.

"This is all my fault," He muttered quietly.

Suddenly, he heard the faint sound of singing coming from inside a nearby cave. Curiosity getting the best of him, Tang moved closer to investigate further.

As soon as he stepped into the cave, he felt the coolness in the air and the musty smell that surrounded him, a mix of damp earth and moss.

His eyes slowly adjusted to the dim lighting and revealed what looked like a large, golden chain.

Curiosity sparked within him as he approached the chain, his heart quickening with each step. He reached out a hand and touched the precious metal, feeling a slight warmth radiating from it. Suddenly, it dawned on him. "These are Celestial Chains!" He exclaimed.

Just then, Tang heard that same voice echo throughout the cave.

🎶I have died every day waiting for you\\\\

Darling, don't be afraid\\\\

I have loved you for a thousand years\\\\

I'll love you for a thousand more.🎶

The singing was quite lovely, almost like a lullaby.

Intrigued by the mysterious singing reverberating within the cave, Tang followed the melodic voice further into its depths.

The mysterious voice grew clearer as Tang journeyed deeper into the cave. The walls seemed to throb with ancient power, and a sense of awe washed over Tang as he realized the significance of the Celestial Chains before him.

Finally, the melodic voice led Tang to a secluded chamber bathed in dimmed light. There were now a lot more Celestial Chains surrounding the cavern.

Tang walked over to the center of the chamber and gasped in shock.

There, clenched around a rock that looked to be some sort of weird-shaped pillar, was a giant golden celestial lock.

And above that lock, half submerged within the rock, was a Monkey.
