Using his nimbus cloud, Sun Wukong flew his way up to Black Wind Mountain in an attempt to rescue Tang, who had been captured by a Demon, Black Bear.

Upon landing softly on the craggy path leading to the mountain's peak, Wukong transformed into a small bird.
He knew that stealth would be more relevant to his current mission than brute force at present.

As he neared the entrance to the Bear's den, he overheard the monstrous blowhard talking to himself.

"I hope Jinchi gets here soon. Or our tea might get cold," Grumbled Black Bear, his voice rumbling as it echoed through the cave.
Wukong heard him pause a moment and add, "And I hope that he and that supposed female aren't gonna be too loud when they get to it. Otherwise I'll have to eat her myself."

Wukong wrinkled his nose in disgust at that comment.

He needed to find a way to get Tang out of Black Bear's clutches, and fast.

Wukong then transformed himself into a fly and made his way into the cave, as to not arouse the Bear's suspicions.

Once inside, he buzzed around curiously, trying to determine which direction to go. Unfortunately, it seemed the cave was split into multiple directions.

Before he could try any further, however, he spotted movement ahead of him.

A shadow shifted within a dark corner, and he quickly ducked down to avoid being seen. He watched with baited breath as the shadows grew larger and darker as the figure slowly emerged. When the figure emerged fully, Wukong's eyes widened.

It was Tang!

Wukong wasted no time as he shifted back into his humanoid monkey form and rushed over to his friend, his smile widening. "Tang!" He exclaimed, pulling the younger boy into a hug.

Tang blinked, startled, but soon he relaxed and hugged the monkey-man back.

"I'm so glad to see you," Wukong sighed in relief.

"Same here, but how did you find me?" Tang asked.

"Jinchi spilled his guts." Wukong replied, letting the boy go and turning to face him.

Tang frowned. "How did you manage to persuade him?"

"I didn't." Wukong said. "Long did."

Tang raised a brow curiously.

"It's a long story. C'mon, let's get out of here," Wukong said.

Tang nodded and followed the Monkey King out the door of the cave.

"By the way, nice new bling you got there." Wukong commented, eyeing Tang's new Khakkhara.

Tang grinned sheepishly at Wukong. "It's just something I found while escaping my cell."

Wukong hummed in amusement. "You stole it, didn't you?"

"No!..." Tang replied defensively. "Well, technically, it was already stolen...Among other items from that treasure room."

"Hmm..." Wukong hummed with a sly smirk, clearly unconvinced.

"Let's just get outta here, okay?" Tang pleaded with a frowned expression.

"Sure thing." Wukong replied, nodding.

As the pair ran, however, a sudden shout rang out behind them, making both males stop dead in their tracks.
