On a lovely spring day, the sun spilled it's golden light over the lush landscape as Tang, the young Shaolin monk, walked alongside the mischievous Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King.

With them was their new companion, Ao Lie, an optimistic dragoness who had taken on the guise of a young blonde woman, known affectionately by her friends as Long.

The trio strolled leisurely down a winding dirt path, Long's eyes sparkling with wonder as she marveled at the vastness of the land around her.

The cherry blossoms bloomed in delicate hues of pink and white, casting a gentle fragrance in the air, while the distant mountains stood tall and proud against the horizon.

Long couldn't contain her excitement and suddenly leaped onto Wukong's back, her laughter ringing through the serene countryside.

"WOW! China is so big! And beautiful!" Long exclaimed, her voice filled with awe.

Wukong winced, feeling Long's weight on his back. "Glad you love it, Long. Now can you please get off me?"

Laughing, Long gracefully hopped off Wukong and skipped alongside Tang, her eyes darting to the horizon.

"So we're heading West, right?" Long questioned, her curiosity piqued.

Tang, engrossed in studying their journey on the map, nodded in confirmation. "That is the direction my Master said to go."

"Cool," Long replied with a smile. "What sort of things do you'll think we'll get to see and do on our pilgrimage anyway?"

Tang thought for a moment. "I don't know for sure. We'll definitely be encountering some dangerous things, like demons in such. But we will come across some good things too. And here's hoping, we might stumble upon a festival or two along the way."

Wukong's ears perked up at the mention of a festival. "Now you're talking! Festivals are awesome."

Long's eyes widened with excitement. "Ooh, I've never been to one! But I've read alot about them. I hope they still do eating contests."

Chuckling, Wukong assured her, "I'm pretty sure that's one event that will never die down. Nowadays, they even have cooking contests at food fests."

Tang's face lit up with joy. "They do! Maybe my Zhu Zhu will be there competing!"

"Who, who?" Long asked in confusion, tilting her head cutely.

Wukong playfully nudged Tang, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "His boyfriend."

Long's eyes widened in surprise, a sly grin playing on her lips. "Ooh, so Tangy has a lover, huh?"

Tang blushed slightly at the teasing, but his smile remained warm.

The group eventually reached a grand temple situated on top of a hill, the architecture was a magnificent sight to behold.

At the foot of the temple, several monks dressed in red and white robes were tending to the temple grounds. Upon seeing the trio approaching, they bowed respectfully and greeted, "Welcome travelers!"

"Hello." Tang responded politely as he and his companions approached the monastery.

"And who might you three be?" One of the disciples asked kindly.
