Today I had my first exam. It was not fun, I'm surprised I even finished it. I kinda rushed at the end when the teacher said we had a few minutes left but other than that I think I did good.

Willa's driving us all home again. Ever since the first day of school this year whenever we're all riding home together we have to meet at the back where no one is. It makes me feel like I'm in a movie, posing as a drug dealer like I have to act sneaky.

I don't know why though, it's not like we never talk to each other at school even if we don't talk that much, and by the time we're all done with our after-school activities everyone's basically gone besides the teachers and it's not like we can hide our relatedness to them, they have a roster.

"Guys we have to go to Mom's work party remember? So hurry up and get dressed in something fancy." Willa said

The rest of us nodded and as soon as Willia turned off her car we were all running to the house. Violet was already there since her boyfriend had dropped her off and she was doing her makeup in the mirror. She was dressed in a long pink neck dress that complemented her tall frame.

She looked up when the door opened and clapped her hands at us. "Hurry up! I'm driving and mom said don't be late. Get dressed!"

We all ran in different directions, scrambling to our rooms. When I got to my room I opened my closet looking for a dress I had in here that still fit me. I haven't gone dress shopping in two years and throughout those two years, I've grown four inches and probably gained some weight too.

When I couldn't find anything that fit I ran over to Sadie's room and busted in without knocking. She was already dressed so it was fine.

"God damm, you about scared the marbles out of me!" she yelled flinching at the loud noise her door made when it hit the wall.

"Sorry, but I need a dress. None of mine fit me." I said in a rush.

"Next time knock." She scolded before walking over to her closet and grabbing one.

"This one doesn't fit me anymore but it looks about your size. Go try it on real quick," she said shoving it into my hands

I ran to her bathroom and almost choked on the smell of her strong perfume. I put on the dress and came out to look in the big mirror in her room. It was a satin cocktail dress and if I paired it with the white heels I had in my closet it would look perfect.

"Thank you, Sadie," I said turning to look at her.

"Yeah, yeah. It'd be nice if you curled your hair but we don't have time for that. Just brush it real quick and run a straightener through it and you'll be good."

When I was about to leave Oliva and Willa came in and rushed to Sadie's mirror, fluffing their hair up and twirling around.

"How do I look?" Willa said, striking a pose.

"Ugly," Olivia said before using her hip to push Willa away from the mirror.

"In a good way?" Willa asked, flipping her hair some more.

"Sure," Olivia replied.

"Why are you guys in my room?" Sadie asked, looking at the two of them.

"Because you have the best mirror duh," Willa replied.

Right before Sadie could say something else Violet came in screaming at the top of her lungs that we were leaving now.

I quickly ran to my room put on my heels and brushed my hair. I didn't have time to straighten it but that's fine because my hair is basically already straight it just won't look as nice.

While I was blending in my concealer I heard Violet's car start outside so I ran with my makeup bag to the car before she could leave me.

We reached there just in time. There were a lot more people there than there were last year. We took a bunch of photos with Mom and were free to explore around. The first place Violet, Sadie, and I went was to the food. There was a line so we had to wait but it looked worth it. I could smell the food from here and I already felt like drooling.

My eyes wandered around as I waited for the line to move. A lot of people came with their kids and some I recognized from my school. As I looked for similar faces I spotted one that made my heart beat faster.

Grant.

He was standing there with his parents and smiling. Man, he looked stunning when he smiled. He was so gorgeous and sweet, it was a beautiful combo.

Soon I realized that I was smiling. I probably looked like a creep. Embarrassed I looked away quickly and took a step forward forgetting that I was in a line.

"Ow Addison! Be patient!" Violet glared at me and I quickly apologized.

Sadie laughed from behind me. "Violet, did you see Addi making eyes at that boy over there? She totally has a crush on him."

My ears reddened and I turned to Sadie. "No, I wasn't! I was looking at the window to see the sunset."

What boy?" Violet asked completely ignoring what I said.

"That on over there." Sadie pointed directly in Grant's direction.

I grabbed her hand and yanked it down, "Didn't your mama ever tell you it's rude to point?"

"We have the same mama," Sadie said back.

"But why would she be checking out that guy? Doesn't she have a boyfriend?" Violet said, then suddenly her eye widened and the eyebrow shot to the top of her forehead.

She turned to mean and smiled like the Grinch. "Unless that is her boyfriend."

Sadie gasped and clapped her hands over her mouth. "SHUT THE FRONT DOOR."

Violet looked back Grant's way and nudged my shoulder. "He's a cute one, isn't he? Looks well-mannered too. I think we should all go have a chat with ya boyfriend. Don't you Sadie?"

"Guys stop," I said looking at both of them frantically.

"I think that a good idea Violet," Sadie said smirking. They better be joking. I have to stop them.

"Wait! What about the food?" I said, "We need to try the food right?"

Violet dismissed me. "We'll come back later. Right now we're gonna go talk to your new boo."

"Guys please no," I begged. "You're going to embarrass me."

Sadie laughed. "That's what big sisters are for silly."
