[victoria's pov]
The rest of the week was enjoyable as I found myself grinning ear to ear everytime I remembered that night and saw Theo in the corridors as he waved at me and occasionally walked me to my classes. The library was packed now so we moved our tutoring sessions to his dormitory, which I found to be more peaceful and I was able to study better with more of his presence.
This went on until Valentine's day as I was more nervous than usual, only remembering what happened last year when Oliver had given me many things. It was a bittersweet thought, but I soon found myself longing for the same affection I once had.
Millicent seemed to be doing well–Much more well than Mattheo and I had–which made me only love her more as she guided me and told me what was and wasn't right.
"Theo's the right one, trust me," she told me the night after my date with Theo and the concert, though both of us had not distinguished it as a date, it was clearly one. Perhaps just not a romantic one.
Unlike Millicent, there was a couple who thought otherwise.
"This is Riddle all over again," Fred said, crossing his arms as the Aces followed me to the Slytherin common room. They had just spotted me wave Theo a goodbye as he joined Blaise's company to class.
"Whatever happened between you and Riddle," George said, adding to Fred's comment as Magnus nodded in agreement. He had not known what happened between Mattheo and I either.
"Mattheo's a manipulative idiot," I said with a slight eye roll as they followed me down the stairs.
"Let me guess, Nott isn't like him," Magnus sighed.
"Women," the three of the choruses as I turned my heel and raised my brow.
"I'm starting to think we should establish the Aces to the Nosey Triplets," I said.
"Oi! We're just looking out for you!" Fred said defensively.
"Yeah, we'd be willing to sucker punch anyone who makes you upset," George said.
"Just give the name!" Magnus said with a grin. "Riddle? Nott?"
The three of them laugh amongst each other as I playfully shove them and say, "Okay, Nosey Triplets, go to class."
"Alright, mum," George said jokingly as Fred corrected him and said, "It's Heart."
A few hours later, I'm tutoring Fred and George in the library again, who are–like usual–not paying attention and making paper cranes fly around instead.
"We should get them to carry stink bombs or something," Fred suggested and George laughed evilly.
I forced a straight face and said, "You're both supposed to be paying attention to the lesson."
Fred and George give each other a shared eye roll before George says, "You haven't been so focused yourself." As Fred points to the table a few metres away from us, where Mattheo and his friends sat quietly, their nose dug into their books. Among them was Theo, who I already noticed, and was working hard like usual.
"Oh shut it," I said, turning my back against the Slytherins who sat on the other side of the shelves. "You're both almost completed with your work anyway."
There's a loud shuffling noise and footsteps that join the library after a few moments of Fred and George goofing off. At first, I figured it was the librarian on her way to kick the twins and I out of the library again, but it's not. I see my tall brother, Magnus boom in and huff angrily.
He spots me and makes his way over and I stand, seeing how enraged his face was. Fred and George give each other a thin look on their faces as they watch Magnus notice the Slytherin boys.
