(Un-editied)
I took a deep breathe, and forced a smile upon my face. You can do it. I protested in my mind. You can do it, you can do it. I chanted again. I walked slowly, approaching the door, and quickly turned the knob. There I was, alone, and cold. But i knew i could do it! You can do it! You can do it! YOU DID IT! I say to myself as i run up stairs to my hole, that i call my room.
"Jessi! Where have you been?!" I froze as i heard his voice getting closer.
"Oh hey dad! Whats going on?" I say, trying to calm my breath. "Its a great day today isn't it?" I add.
"Nice try hun. But i do know that you were suppossed to be here about three hours ago. And why is this rule broken?" He asks, looking cocky.
"Oh me? Oh well ya know, i was at Candy's and fell asleep. Then i woke up to her drastically shaking me, and yelling for me to get home." I lie.
I can't believe i just lied to my dad! The guy who is always there for me when i need him. But look at me, lying has become a habit ever since i couldn't confess that i have been out partying with Candy.
"Yeah yeah. I will let it slide, since I'm tired, and i want to go to bed." He smirks, walking to his room.
Yes! I got away with it, I almost scream.

"Hey! This is so weird." I screech, trying to focus on the party at hand.
"I know isn't it?" Candy yells back.
I simply nodd and continue dancing with my bestfriend next to sweaty-drunk teenagers. Dancing is fun, but is not one of my strong suites...
I did random moves, that i don't think even qualify as dancing. Not in any world, galaxy, or universe. But in the other hand, Candy is the exact opposite! She can bust a move and evryone will try to learn it.
I snap back to reality, as I'm being pulled by a muscular arm. I realize arms are attached to people so i look up to see the host of the party, dragging me into the kitchen.
I glance up at him and smile, "Um, can i help you?" I ask, looking at his arm on mine, then back to his face.
"Oh, ya sorry." He realeases my arm with force. " I just have to tell you something."
I simply nodd, but am scared to know what 'John Bowne' wants with some geeky girl like me.
"Well you see, my friend has been staring at you all night. Would you like to maybe dance with him?" He scoffs as if what he said is nothing.
"Well that all depends." I say, flashing an innocent smile.
"Well...um...uh-um... its a guy." He stiffens.
"And his name is?"
"Okay so maybe its not my friend, maybe its me."
"You? Yo-you, John Bowne?" I say in complete dis-belief.
"Um, well ya."
"Okay, sure."
A grin appears upon his face, and he extends a hand to me. "Will you, Jessi, dance with me?"
"But of course." I say nodding.
A/N: Hey guys! So this is my 2nd book i think or whatever, but i am really excited that i am writing this. I have been reading a book/a day. And it has inspired me to write a kind of clichè love story. But if you give it a chance, i think you will really like the book. I'm sorry for such a short chapter, but i think this chapter is the perfect one to be the beggining.
Much love,
December ❤
