Her sword training had been the topic of conversation among the servants, some enjoying betting whether the young Lady could finally take down her sworn knight. A few moons had passed and Laenaera had finally learned how to take down an opponent, she learned quickly and Rhaenys had not even hidden her pride. Laenaera finally knew how to fight.

In the distance the ships with the Velaryon logo could be seen approaching Driftmark, Lord Corlys and Laenor were returning.

Seasmoke was flying at the speed of the ships but the white dragon increased his speed when he saw Scarletmoon flying close to him. The Velaryon sisters left the castle hand in hand and waited to meet their brother who landed after a few minutes, Laenor got off his dragon and ran to hug his sisters.

Princess Rhaenys came out seconds later and hugged her son, but not before checking that he was okay and without any scratches. The four entered their home, the ships would probably arrive in an hour so the brothers had time to talk, the three ran to take refuge in Laenor's room and he complained when he saw that his room was not exactly as he left it.

"Leah insisted we sleep here." Laena stated.

Laenor looked at Laenaera and sighed, he had missed them.

"I heard you went to celebrate the second name day of the king's son egg, Leny." Laenor said. "How was it there?"

The eldest of the sisters began to recount her visit to King's Landing, omitting the part where she and Rhaenyra had almost sucked each other's souls, with a look she indicated to Laenor that she would tell him something later.

"Our sister learned some things, didn't she, Leah?" Laena nudged her.

Laenor looked at them both with clear confusion and asked almost silently.

"I learned to fight with a sword." Laenaera smiled.

"Really?" He questioned, surprised. "Did you learn from John?"

Laenaera nodded. Then Laenor puffed out his chest with pride.

"He's easy to knock down, you couldn't even touch me." He challenged.

"She can do it, I'll learn too and then we'll both take you down." Laena shoved him playfully.

The eldest pretended to be indignant and then the three laughed, Laenor had missed his sisters.

"How's the war, brother?" Laena questioned.

Laenaera seemed clearly interested. Laenor began to recount everything in detail, Laena occasionally complained or imitated vomiting when her brother told in extreme detail how the men were burned to death and Lord Corlys dismembered them.

"By the way, there's a surprise coming for you, sister." Laenaera seemed interested. "Our uncle is on his way."

"Your lover, Leah!" The younger one scoffed. "Vaemond Velaryon."
