Robbie pulled over to the valet parking attendant and parked the car. He greeted the person that opened his car door and stepped out after unbuckling his seat belt. "Stay, Kit," he said when someone opened my door, and I rolled my eyes and scowled because I knew that he wanted to be the one to help me out of the car.
I unbuckled my seatbelt and bit back a small sigh while I rolled my eyes again. "I'm sorry about him," I apologized to the other valet attendant, who was waiting for me to exit the car so that he could close the door. "He's not always like this, but for some reason, he is being like this today."
The valet attendant bit back a small smirk and nodded. He didn't say a word but stood back when Robbie walked over to my side of the car.
Robbie smiled and held out his hand for me to take, stopping in front of me with a small smirk on his face. "Here," he said, and I rolled my eyes and scowled but placed my hand in his. "Allow me."
"Very funny, Robbie," I said and let him help me out of the car, grabbing my clutch and dress tighter in my hand. "I don't know why you are doing this, and I am not sure that I like it."
He chuckled and squeezed my hand, pulling me away from the door and making sure that I was steady on my feet. "Thank you," he said to the valet attendant, who closed the door behind him and handed him some money. "I appreciate this and make sure to split it with the other guy. Ok?" He winked before he took his hand from mine and placed it on the crook of my back.
The valet attendant smiled and bowed his head before he put the money in his pocket and waved his hand for the other person to start driving off to park the car in the valet parking lot.
I shook my head and let Robbie lead me to the front of the building, letting go of my dress and moving my hand across it after I swapped my clutch from one hand to another.
"What?" Robbie asked and raised an eyebrow in question with a small laugh in his voice. "What is that shaking of the head for? It's my money."
"I'm not shaking my head because of that, Robbie," I said, and he snorted and rolled his eyes. I shook my head again and moved my clutch again. "I'm shaking my head because you amuse me, sometimes, and this is one of those times."
"How?" he asked and raised an eyebrow in question while he looked at me from the corner of his eye. "How did I amuse you today?"
"Because you wanted to help me out of the car and not let him help me out of the car," I replied and shrugged. "Why?" I looked at him and raised an eyebrow in question.
Robbie shrugged and bit back an amused smile. "Because I know that you are nervous about others touching you, duh," Robbie said with a small bit of sass in his voice. "I was trying to be nice." He winked teasingly, and I rolled my eyes and scowled.
"I know that, Robbie," I said coldly. "However, I do not mind grabbing people's hands or letting them help me out of the car." I paused and cleared my throat, moving my hand across my dress again. "What I do mind is someone touching me for long periods of time like you are doing now." I looked at him and gave him a pointed look while I looked at him.
Robbie squeezed my side a little tighter while he pressed his lips into a thin line, and I could tell that he was getting nervous as if he wanted to but didn't want to remove his hand from around my waist.
I bit back a small smile, amused and moved closer to him. "And, yet, you are part of the exception, Robbie," I teased, and he relaxed while he breathed a small sigh of relief. "And so is Carlos. I wouldn't mind him touching me for a long time in a friend type of way."
And Miles... I added silently, pressing my lips into a thin line before I relaxed my face and kept it neutral.
Robbie relaxed his grip from around my side and rolled his eyes, setting his jaw. "Carlos isn't allowed to touch you for long periods of time anyway," he grumbled and grabbed my back tighter before he relaxed it again. "No one is."
