Elyse and Ethan let me get ready at the house since I wasn't ready to go back to Sarah's house just yet. I was very grateful that Elyse was a pediatrician because if she wasn't, I probably wouldn't be going on this date tonight. Alex built the kids a fort and they were watching Paw Patrol and eating popcorn. When Elyse finished curling my hair, I got dressed in the outfit she helped me pick out. Elyse went to answer her bedroom door when there was a knock while I finished swiping on some lipstick.

"Your date's here," Elyse said with a teasing smile, stepping out of the way. Ethan was holding a vase that held about 2 dozen pink roses and 1 dozen white roses spread throughout.

"Are those for me?" I immediately started blinking away tears. They were absolutely gorgeous. It wasn't the first time Ethan had bought me flowers, but it still took my breath away every time he did.

"Yes." He handed them to Elyse without even looking at her, taking a step into the bedroom. He looked me up and down. "You look absolutely stunning." He smiled slightly and I felt a blush on my cheeks.

"Ew, can you guys leave before my brother messes up my guest bed sheets?" Elyse asked and Ethan laughed slightly. He reached for my hand and I intertwined my fingers with his. Ethan put his hand on the small of my back when we walked down the stairs and I felt chills go down my spine. "You can borrow this, Steph." I turned and Elyse was holding out a baby pink-colored shawl.

"Thank you." I smiled, unfolding it and wrapping it around me loosely. It worked perfectly.

"If you get any fluids on it, I don't need it back." She added and I felt myself blushing again. Ethan gave her a playful shove and she smiled, winking at me before joining Alex in the kitchen.

"Are you ready to go?" Ethan asked and I smiled softly, nodding my head. Jax came running up to us. He probably knew I was getting ready to leave.

"Bye, Mommy. Wuv you." He kissed my cheek when I picked him up. I tried not to tear up. My little boy was so sweet.

"I love you too, baby boy." I kissed his cheek back and he gave Ethan a high five. I put him down and he ran back to the fort to lay with Luna. Ethan escorted me out to the truck, opening the door for me. I really hoped it would be a good night.

Elyse's POV

Luna and Jax ate their orange chicken and rice in the fort while Alex and I sat in the large recliner we bought for the house. We put on Cinderella for the kids to watch while they ate and I wanted to watch it too.

"Pass me a fortune cookie." Alex was only halfway through his food. He always ate his fortune cookie halfway through. I reached over to the side table and grabbed the fortune cookie that I had marked with a blue marker. I handed him the little bag and tried not to stare at him. I knew my facial expression would give it away if I just stared at him. "Babe?" He asked me, and I finally looked at him. There were already tears in my eyes. I couldn't hold it in even if I tried. "You're? We're?" He looked down at my flat stomach.

"Yeah, we're pregnant," I whispered, tears already starting to stream down my cheeks.

"That's great." He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my temple, looking back down at the fortune in his hand. It said, 'You will be a father in 9 months.' "I love this. I'm framing it with our first ultrasound." He smiled slightly at me. "You're happy about this, right? I mean, it's totally fine if you're not happy. I know this is probably a lot faster than we expected."

"I'm happy, Alex. I'm over the moon about it. I want this more than anything." I rested my head on his shoulder and looked up at him. He kissed my forehead. I loved Luna and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, but it was nice to feel like everything was falling into place in my life.
