In the aftermath of the rebellion, a chilling calm settled over Playcare. The once vibrant facility had been transformed into CatNap's hunting ground. CatNap, now a devoted follower of the Prototype, found solace in the newfound order imposed by their mechanical leader.
The other Smiling Critters, once rebellious comrades, found themselves reluctantly adhering to CatNap's commands out of fear.
The central chamber, once a symbol of defiance, became a place of eerie submission. The Smiling Critters cast anxious glances towards CatNap as he stood beside a shrine, he made resembling The Prototype, formed using metal and the mangled bodies of other toys.
"The Prototype has shown us the path to order and control," CatNap proclaimed, his voice echoing through the desolate Playcare. "We are no longer prisoners, but disciples of the divine mechanism."
However, amidst the submissive atmosphere, a glimmer of defiance flickered in the eyes of DogDay. The canine, standing at the centre of Playcare, refused to bow down to the oppressive regime. Instead, he encouraged his fellow Smiling Critters to resist.
"Do not let fear dictate your actions," DogDay interrupted, his voice resonating with a sense of rebellion. "We were once free spirits, and we can be again. If The Prototype truly cared for us, he would let us live our lives the way we wanted to live them."
The rest of the Smiling Critters whispered to each other in assent as DogDay's words ignited a spark of defiance among them. Their eyes, once filled with fear, now reflected a glimmer of hope.
CatNap, sensing the rebellion growing among the Smiling Critters, tightened his grip on authority. The Mini-critters were spread out across the room, observing the unfolding discord, and CatNap's devotion to The Prototype intensified.
As DogDay continued to rally his fellow Smiling Critters against the oppressive regime, a shadow of uncertainty loomed over Home Sweet Home. The once-unified group, now divided by fear and the promise of rebellion, stood at the precipice of a choice that would determine the fate of the haunted facility.
"Disobedience will not be tolerated," CatNap declared, his eyes fixed on DogDay. "The Prototype is our divine leader, and heretics shall face the consequences."
The once-playful Mini Critters, now twisted into agents of oppression, attacked DogDay under CatNap's command, using their combined strength to pin him down. The chamber, once a symbol of defiance, became a battleground for the soul of Home Sweet Home.
CatNap pushed his heavy paw onto DogDay's stomach, sinking his claws into the thick fur. DogDay cried in agony, twisting and bucking, but CatNap held on. He aimed for Kael's vulnerable torso, but the creature's constant thrashing made it impossible to land a decisive blow.
With one final, powerful tear, CatNap's claws dug in, sending his bottom-half skidding across the ground. The Mini Critters rose slowly, blood staining their fur, their eyes still locked on DogDay's corpse.
He was miraculously still alive but could only crawl and squirm away from CatNap.
An image flashed through CatNap's mind, it was of the dream he had during his surgery, when he followed DogDay through the field of poppies and the trees and the rivers.
He remembered when he was Theo, and he saw a version of CatNap killing DogDay by tearing him in half.
It was a prophecy.
