Ellie couldn't believe she had told Sirius the truth about Skylar. And how she was actually her daughter. She knew she was worried about him telling her.

She knew that she would need to tell Sirius to not tell Skylar. Knowing it would mess up everything. And she didn't want that to happen.

She was hoping he wouldn't tell James that he knew either. She had made a promise she wouldn't tell Skylar the truth. And she wanted to stick by the truth.

It was so hard for Ellie to hear how Skylar had letters from her parents. And she wanted nothing more than to be the one who she called mum. But she couldn't.

Ellie Potter wasn't going to break her promise. And she wasn't going to be the one who ruined her daughter's life by telling her the truth.

The only thing Ellie could be thankful for is that Sirius wouldn't tell Severus. The two of them hated each other with a passion. So she didn't have to worry about that. Or so she hoped.

Ellie knew that while she hadn't told Sirius that Severus was Ellie's father, part of her felt like he would let it slip to the man. And then Severus would confront her about it. Which was the last thing she wanted.

Ellie was about to walk into the great hall. She saw Severus who looked to her. He walked over to her. "Why was the dog here?" He asked.

Ellie rolled her eyes. "Have you ever considered being a decent human and asking him?" She said as she carried on walking.

Severus grabbed her arm. He pushed her against the wall. "If you're plotting in any chance, then I suggest you rethink," he told her.

"Get a fucking grip Severus. You're being pathetic and an idiot. No one is plotting anything. Maybe he's here to visit his godson. Or maybe he's here to get lucky. Merlin forbid that you do. Might do you some good," Ellie said as she pushed him away and carried on walking.

Severus knew she was keeping something from him. And he was going to find what it was.

Ellie was sitting in her classroom. She looked up as Sirius walked in. She sighed. "I'm guessing you have questions?" She asked.

"Yeah. What the heck Ellie?"

Ellie sighed. "She's mine. Skylar. I gave birth to her. And... I didn't think I could do it. So I asked James and Lily to raise her. She doesn't know. And she can never know," she told him.

Sirius looked to Ellie. She was the girl he had seen as his sister. He had always looked out for her. And he felt bad he hadn't seen the signs.

"Who's her father?" Sirius asked.

Ellie blinked back her tears. "If I tell you, you cannot tell James. I don't know what he would do," she said as she looked to him. She sighed. "Please. Promise you won't tell him."

"I promise," Sirius said. Knowing he wasn't going to break a promise to Ellie. Knowing she meant a lot to her.

"Skylar's father is Severus Snape," Ellie mumbled as she wiped away her tears.

Sirius looked to her in shock. He had no words at all. "Ellie... did he force himself on you?" He asked.

Ellie shook her head. "No. It was consensual. He doesn't know. No one can know. So please."

Sirius smiled and took her hand. "I promised you I wouldn't. I won't break my promise to you Ellie," he told her.

Ellie nodded. She wiped the tears away. Feeling a little relieved she had opened up to someone. But she couldn't help but feel that things were about to completely change.

Skylar saw Severus walking along the corridor. She sighed. "I was wondering sir. Could I have an extension on my essay? I have to do my conclusion. I can get it to you tomorrow," she told him.

"Fine."

Skylar blinked a couple of times. She was in shock. "T-Thank you sir."

Severus nodded. He carried on walking. Skylar was still in shock that he had given her extra time on her essay. She didn't know what had come over him.

Draco walked over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"S-Snape. He gave me an extension on my essay. I think I may pass out in shock," Skylar mumbled. She shook her head. "This isn't real."

Draco shrugged. "Maybe he's realised he can't be a jerk all the time with you. It's not your fault James Potter is your father," he said.

Skylar smiled and nodded. She sighed. "I don't know what to think if I'm being honest," she told him.

Lately Skylar had been thinking weird things. She couldn't help but think that there was something going on with her family. She knew that things had changed since Ellie had turned up.

Skylar couldn't help but feel like there was a huge secret. And she had the feeling it was all to do with Ellie.

Skylar turned to Draco. "Can you do me a favour?" She asked.

"What's up?"

"Can you find out what you can about my aunt? My family have all been weird since she turned up. Please?" She said as she looked to him.

Draco took her hand and smiled. "I'll do what I can. I promise."

Skylar nodded and smiled. "Thanks Draco."

Ellie was sitting in the staff room. She looked up as Severus walked in. "I heard an interesting conversation earlier."

"What would that be?"

"That you are Skylar's mother. You told Black," Severus said as he looked to Ellie.

Ellie paled. She saw the look on his face. The smirk. "S-Sev. Please don't say anything," she said as she looked to him.

Severus smirked. "I knew it. Who's her father? No. You don't need to  tell me. I know I am," he told her.

"Severus. Please. You can't say anything to her. Please. She doesn't know. And she doesn't need to know," Ellie said.

Severus scoffed. He looked to her. "You have lost the right to ask me for anything. You have lied."

"I did this to protect her! You used me! And you knocked me up. I couldn't do it. I couldn't be a parent. You definitely couldn't be a father. So, please. Do not say anything!"

Severus turned and walked off. But could Ellie stop him from telling Skylar? Knowing it would destroy her life.
