18- Business Trip

Drishya carefully descended the stairs, the soft rustling of her anarkali echoing through the hallway. 

The house was enveloped in a quiet morning ambiance, and she felt a mix of emotions swirling within her. 

As she reached the bottom of the staircase, Ramya, looked up from the kitchen with a warm smile.

Ramya: (smiling) Arre, kitni pyaari lag rahi hai tu aaj. Koi khaas baat hai?

Drishya: Nahi mumma, aise hi. First day after everything, you know.

Ramya: (nodding) Haan, samajh gayi. Chal, breakfast karle

Drishya had a light breakfast, her excitement mingling with the aroma of fresh tea. 

As she finished, Disha entered the room, looking at Drishya with wide eyes.

Disha: Di, aaj aap itni sundar kyun lag rahi ho?

Drishya: Koi reason nahi hai, bas aise hi.

Disha chuckled, and they exchanged playful smiles. 

Drishya grabbed her side bag, containing her essentials, and headed towards the door.

Ramya: Take care.

Drishya: (hugging her mother) Don't worry, Mumma. I'll be fine.

With a quick nod to Disha, who was still looking curious, Drishya stepped out into the morning sunlight. 

The weather was pleasant, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of renewal as she started her journey to the sets.

Upon reaching the production sets, Drishya was greeted by her colleagues, and she felt a mixture of relief and happiness. 

Manish approached her with a warm smile.

Manish: Good to see you back, Drishya.

Drishya: Thank You Manish. 

As she walked towards her workstation, the excitement in the air was palpable. 

Drishya couldn't shake off the anticipation of seeing Anirvaan after these days. 

She knew deep down that her heart was dancing with joy, and the butterflies in her stomach were testament to the emotions that awaited her on this day of reconnection.

Drishya has roamed around the set but she did not find Anirvaan there, she thought he must be late or something.

But till lunch time she did not get to see him with frustrated face she goes to Manish and asked

Drishya: Manish Mr. Shekhawat aaj aaye nahi ?

Manish: Actually Drishya, Anirvaan 1 hafte ke liye business trip par gaya hai so he won't be coming.

Drishya's excitement had taken a nosedive upon hearing that Anirvaan was on a business trip and wouldn't be back for a week. 

She processed the information, her expressive face showing a mix of disappointment and frustration. 

Manish had to bite back a smile as he watched her cute expressions.

Drishya: (disappointed) But he didn't tell me anything about this.

Manish: Well, he informed me, Drishya. And I don't think ki kisi aur ko batane ki zaroorat thi

She not wanting to reveal her inner turmoil, forced a smile and tried to act nonchalant.

Drishya: Vaise kaha gaye hai Mr. Shekhawat? 

Manish: (grinning) He's in Canada for some important business.
