                                                                              Cameron**

"Cameron" I hear coming from everyone in the background me at the ballpark. I should be used to hearing my name being yelled at by fans when the game is going but I'm not. I still get very shy and nervous even after playing for many years. I've played Baseball since I picked up my first bat in Walmart when I was in fourth-grade year. Baseball was everything to me. I would practice every day until my mother would tell me it was time for dinner. I took my schooling and grades very seriously because of how important softball was to me. I look at the coach who is my mother and I look at everyone sitting on the benches as I come up to bat. My hands are sweaty and I feel so many things going through my head until the ball gets thrown. Once that ball is thrown I take everything in my head and turn it into anger and hit the ball as hard as I can with the bat. Never getting a strike the bat makes contact with the ball and it goes the other way. As soon as The bat hits the ball I start to make a run for the first base. I can hear everyone screaming and some people jumping up in down but most of all I hear my favorite fan of all my mother. She's telling me to run and yelling my name. She's my biggest fan and I wouldn't be where I am today with my favorite sport of all time if it wasn't for her.
We barely ever lost so the fact we won today makes it a great day. After the game, My mom Rebecca, and my father Josh went out for some ice cream to celebrate the win for the day. After the ice cream with my parents, I decided to take my baseball stuff and go to the ballpark. I normally spend most of my time at the ballpark. My mom tells me every day that I practice too much and that I need to make some real friends instead of just my friends on the team. I'm okay with just having friends from the team though. Jason and I were basically best friends because we did everything together even played baseball together. Jason and I were both at the baseball field when it was getting dark. I didn't want to stop but my mom was there to pick me up and I still had some homework to do. Jason was staying the night so we planned to work on our homework together.
Walking into the house it smelled so good. I always loved my mother's cooking. I swear she could have been a chef but she loved watching me play baseball so she became my coach in high school. My dad Josh was the pastor at our church. My parents were very Christian-like. I never disrespected what they believed in because I still believed in the things they did. Jason and I ate dinner with my parents at the dinner table and went into my room to study. Jason was the best person I could have in my life besides my mom. I tell my mom everything and she's my number one best friend but my friendship with Jason is much more. She's there for the things I can't tell my mom.
After studying with Jason for a few hours he went home and I was looking at all my Baseball awards when my mother walked into my room. "You know your father and I are very proud of you," my mother said as she walked up behind me to hug me. I know my parents are proud of me. I make straight A's and B's and I'm really good at playing Baseball but I love every time my mother or father would tell me that they are proud of me. After talking with my mom I decided it was time for bed. I couldn't wait to get back on the field tomorrow after school. My dream was to be a big baseball player and I wasn't going to let making friends get in the way of doing so. The last time I had a friend they backstabbed me and turned on me so I chose not to have friends even though I understand where my parents were coming from with wanting me to have friends.
The next day I honestly couldn't wait to get back on the field but as I was talking to Jason and the team when I saw this really beautiful ass girl walk into the wall way. "Bro she's cute, I've never seen her before," Jason said which I agreed. "You never saw her before because she's new to the school," Kyle one of my teammates said. Jason kept telling me to go for her but I kept telling him baseball was way more important than a girl. "Bro you should know Cameron isn't going to go for a girl," Kyle told Jason. "He needs to," Jason said right back to him. "I don't need a girlfriend, I have everything I want," I said before walking away from them to my locker. I didn't realize that my locker was right next to the new girls. "Excuse me but I can't seem to get into my locker," the new girl said. I was nice and helped her out with her locker but after that, I walked away and headed to my first period class.
I didn't know that she had the same class as me until I got into the classroom. The teacher had her sit next to me. "Hi, I'm Emily," the new girl said as she sat next to me. I didn't realize it before but this girl was actually really beautiful with her long brown hair and her beautiful blue eyes and the fact she has braces really got me. The team was right when they said she was my type. The whole time the teacher was talking I couldn't take my eyes off her. She was really smart. Just coming in the middle of the year and still understanding what the teacher was talking about. "I want everyone to pick a partner and do the project I was talking about together," The teacher told us. Right then and there I knew I wanted her as my partner. I didn't understand what had come over me when someone else wanted her as their partner but I got to her first.
Once class was over I asked Emily to meet me by the office after school. I didn't really didn't care about going to practice after school. Emily and I went to my house and started on the project. Watching her as we were doing the project really got me more interested in her. "Um I know we are done with the project but would you want to hang out" I asked taking the chance to get to know her. After a few hours of just hanging out and talking I heard the front door open and close. "Cameron, are you home?" I heard from downstairs. I could tell it was my mom. When I told her I was up in my room she decided to come up there to make sure I was okay. "You weren't at practice, are you okay" She asked as she was coming into my room. "Oh, you have company over, who is this" my mother asked. I told her she was the new girl in school and also my classroom project partner. I could tell my mom was happy to see someone new over instead of someone from the team.
